Afternoon,
I was just watching a streamer who got a reward for playing WOT for 5 years, and got a coupon. I've been playing for just over 5 years now, and I've never had a coupon or anything like that. Is this a bug?

I couldn't find a precise support criteria for this ticket, this was about the closest.

From xxxx (Hokum15)

Hello Hokum15,

Thank you for contacting Customer Support Department for Wargaming.net.

Unfortunately you have not met the requirments to get these coupons.

I am pretty sure you will get one eventually :)

If you should have more questions me and my team remain at your disposal.

Kind regards,

Michał Mann

So getting a reward for 5 years play, means playing for 5 years and almost 30k matches doesn't qualify you?

O...K....

I have this week received my 30% coupon for 6 years, which lasts six days. My 6th anniversary playing was 11th May 2017. For some reason WG make you wait for it. I have no idea why.

Weird, I got my coupon just about right as I was hitting the 6th year of my account, that was a few months ago.

I got 2 in a row for my account's anniversary. July 5th, and then another a week after for the same reason.

There is a member of my clan who was offered his 4 year coupon with less then 6000 games, so honestly I don't see why you would not get one, unless you shagged the wife of one of the WG board members.

I would just insist with the customer service, maybe the customer agent who answered your ticket just had a bad day.

I got a 30% coupon on my next purchase for my "5 years". No notification in my garage that I noticed. I simply just saw it when I was checking the discount prices. And the 30% worked on the 30% already on most of the tanks. And I since I had 1 day left on it when I noticed it. And going on how long it's lasted for others. I got mine a few days after my "anniversary"

So you might have gotten it, and it might had expired without you noticing it.... regardless of what support says.

I got a random -30% off coupon on the same day that Circon alledgedly got his for "5 year anniversary". No special occation or anything just a sudden message in the notification center "Special offer only for you ;) ".

Edit: had to check and he started playing WoT in January.

You get it by e-mail as well since they try to lure back in people who have left.

At least I got it both in the garage and by mail.

They probably offered it to you last year to celebrate the 3 years of your hamster life. Very respectable age for a small rodent by the way, respect.

Not their fault when you were too busy running in your hamster wheel to notice the message.

Also got a coupon. Didn't use it. It was valid for 6 days and on day 7 there was some huge discount event. Shabby timing, really.

What kind of coupons are you guys talking about?

I have not heard anything about any anniversary rewards.

Well it kinda feels like an attemt to boost the summer sales campaign figures by sending random players additional -30% coupons with various excuses for recieving them.

Don't remember if I got one in Wot, but I got a 10 % off coupon in WoWS (which I found no use for). Oddly though, I only spotted that one in Premium shop after logging in, I never got any e-mail notification.

Well considering I could have gotten the STA-2 for 16 euros. It's not a bad deal. But I went lower down instead. As the 30% stacks with the discounts they already had. And I've had already used to much on the steam sales.

Being too vocal makes sure you are not on the list of coupon receivers.

Probably been too hard on them, pointing out every fiasco they caused etc.

6 years of WoT, not a single coupon...

WG cares about playerers...

I have nothing against a good deal like this but I just find the method strange. "Congrats for 5 years anniversary - here's a coupon" on July when the player started playing on January when there just happens to be a big sale going on.

"Hey thanks for your continued support, have a coupon"  would feel more sincere for something they obviously send at random.

Never had one.  I assume they are random, luck of the drawer.

Valid point, tho mine and others have been given more or less when we got it during the summer give or take a day. I suspect the "program" was not active until recently. So if you had a 5 year one in January.... or last year based on others. They might have given it to you now.

To tbh... console has a better way of doing it. They even had it on day one for closed beta, for a "Beta" skin and 0 years anniversary emblems. So for each year you account ages, you get anniversary emblems for all your tanks based on how old your account is etc. And more stuff like camo IF you play on the day your anniversary is.
