time to bring back the arty topics

arty...it just does not work

 

instead of getting one shotted or half hp blown away with one shot they just perma stun you and slowly chip ur hp away, and ofc every second hit is a dead crewmember

 

and it even gets better when u have 2 or 3 in the teams and they focus on you.    i just spent a battle in my T29 just dodging shells from all 3 enemy arty.  much fun

 

arty needs another rebalance.  they need a reload nerf of  + 30% and a maximum of 1 arty per battle

 

or maybe just get rid of this broken class?

Just pull an AW, remove arty from randoms, and make a simple PvE mode where it's allowed.

Not really. It just needs a bit of finetuning. The direction they have taken with the class is surprisingly good.

Give them three more years and we'll be a step further.

So post some replays showing you being "permastunned" so everyone can see how bad your problem is and offer sympathy/help.

What we need is a new nickname for arty. i don't feel that the current state of arty fits well with abnormal cell growth or viral hemorraghic fever.

 

Seeing as it's now reduced to mostly a nuisance that might kill you if given the chance and does effect the children (light tanks) more heavily, I propose gastroenteritis. :)

come on  you could be the first that claim there is perma stun  to provide a matching replay

even more when there are mostly just 1 per team with most likely 30+ reload

 

pressing a key to use your med kit is to hard ?

 

arty got its damage nerfed by 50% + its pen nerfed by another 50% so in case of non HE pen thats 3/4 less damage and you want a reload nerf ?  

1 per battle  ? in your or in the other team ?  basically you want to arty to be completly useless/harmless/pointless to play 

40 sec reload from arty does damage like a med per 10 sec reload  and you still [edited]about it ?  get a spine dude

Arty in it's current form, personally, is 100x better than before. Superheavies can do their job without losing over half their HP from a single well placed arty hit, the only thing I feel is ruining it is having 12-15m splash radius at higher tiers. It was annoying when an arty hit you dead centre while moving full speed in your medium tank before, now they just have to land in the same post code to track you, which is rather annoying.

 

I feel the module damage of arty HE shells needs to be severly reduced to prevent full speed tracking splash shots. Maybe so that the module damage at distance is reduced as currently the module damage is the same at any distance, as long as it causes damage. This in turn would actually make it much better. Opinions?

I enjoy the different challenge of playing arty. I would expect more damage to tracks when travelling high speed as any small amount of damage to the track would cause instability in the track which. This in turn would more like cause track failure at speed. Repeatedly losing your track is a pain though. I played a game a short while ago where I was targeted by 3 artys. My mistake was getting spotted. Could not get away quick enough and died from the mass of inbound shots from other players whilst stunned and tracked. In another game arty saved the day due to paying attention what was happening. So for me I am currently happy for arty to stay as they are, and even more pleased that they can feature in platoons again.
