How is this balanced?

You know how Wargaming promised the new matchmaker will be more balanced? How they said that matchmaker in 9.19.1(.1) will be more balanced by checking and creating team equal to vehicle types and vehicle tiers? Well apparently it's enough that new matchmaker places you 90% of the time in to the bottom tier, making the tier 8 almost unplayable and still creating unequal team in terms of vehicle types. I can guarantee that almost everyone has encountered games where team 1 has e.g. 4 heavies and 8 mediums and the other team has 6 heavies and 6 mediums. Apparently by WG logic that's balanced and equal teams. Also the WG forgot to tell that there's more team structures than the well known 3-5-7, 5-10 and 15 models. Apparently 3-4-8 is kind of popular team structure, sometimes you meet some more exotic structures like 3-3-9 or 2-6-7. I'm not kidding. I've been logging my battles and seen crap like this.

 

Anyway, today I saw one of the most ridiculously unbalanced and uneven team compositions after 9.18.

How the Edited is this balanced?? Please tell me. The matchmaker found this game like in 5 second so you can't blame the extremely long queue times. Needles to say, my team got roflstomped pretty fast. I still managed to pull off Top Gun, yay. Apparently the matchmaker decided we don't need heavies against the Edited  KV-2 platoon (+ one random heavy). Crap like this makes my blood boil pretty quick.

 

In the end after much of talk of improved matchmaker I still meet uneven matchmakings, and don't make me start on being bottom tier all the frigging time. I have gathered some data of that case and once I have piled all that data in readable form I might start another thread about (even though many have complain about that topic).

 

EDIT: Censored other playeres name in case if it's against the rules even though isn't against any players in the match.

EDIT2: Damn, even though I proofread and amend 5 times in a row I still find errors and things I forgot to say. Pardon me.

As you said the KV2 platoon is not properly balanced, simply because the mm things its more important to find other tier 6 platoon than other tier 6 heavies.

Look at it this way, if u had gotten Fiery Salient the KV2s would have been helpless.

And when i look at how your team deployes i can understand u lost.  Too litle focus on the middle.

the basic idea was fine. making sure that when u get +2mm that it ends up only 3 instead of 10

 

problem is that u need so many t8/9 for 3 tier 10 that u can hardly become top tier in t8.

 

mm should offer more +/- 1mm  this would work so much better + more balance between the tiers.  usuually when u meet a +2 tier tank u are a 2 shot for him while u need 6-8 shots.. 

 

soo. make mm give more +/- 1mm and also more mm with just 1 tier

Sadly we weren't playing Fiery Salient. I'm talking about this game and games like this that mm gives one team an "enormous" advantage.

No they haven't. The afore mentioned 3 structures are the ideal ones, but can be diverted from depending on player numbers and availability of specific vehicle Tiers. So next time actually bother to read the article before sprouting this garbage. We have plenty of useless, pointless, meaningless threads like this already. We don't need more. So you had a single game where MM didn't deliver perfectly, who the fudge cares? Get over it and stop crying about every single, individual game that didn't go your way. If a single insignificant event like this makes your blood boil already, then stop playing WoT, and get some therapy. 

 

And improved does not mean it's perfect in every way, or exactly the way you want it every time, all the time. Now sod off and keep these garbage threads to yourself.

I remember the last time we had unbalanced mm we had our Cromwell toon facing against a KV-2 toon and latter was done in after a few shots.

Given a 3-5-7 mm split, you wouldn't expect to be top tier more than 20% of the time anyway & can you guess where you'll end up nearly 50% of the time if there were an even amount of tanks available for mm at each tier?  Your rant seems directed towards tier 8 & there's likely to be more tier 8's in the queue than any other tier.  This is not a new problem & so didn't require a new thread & neither will your results once you've compiled your data.

 

The reason that mm is improved is because there will be fewer top tiers in most of your games & so there will be more tanks that you can fairly fight, not because you'll be top tier more often.  As there are now fewer top tiers in each game you are actually less likely to be top tier now, not more.

 

[edit]  I do agree that mm should do more/something to balance the number of heavies & meds on each side as this can lead to very unbalanced teams on some maps.

I would guess that your team went and sat in front of the KV2 toon?
