when we have a lot of imbecil OP premium tanks...what standard T8 tanks are still ok..? If they still exist...:teethhappy:

i liked Tiger and still have it...for gun

i like T28 Prot after buff...but in world of gold his advantages are useless...

Emil looks good...but again, in world of gold is useless (i mean his turret here...)

IS3 was king...now is a junk compared with his counterpart...

Same with 110 wich was an alternative for is3...

I really like ISU 152...but will be nerfed...because dont use enough gold ammo, of course

UDES looks good...but very situational

T32 cant pen his new competition without gold...so cant be considered competitive..

so what should i keep..?

Still exist standard tanks wich are good options here, competitive?

DONT mention any premium tanks ! I dont want to hear this !

Premiums are almost the only "keepers" now due to MM and credit earning ability and the fact one has spent real money or effort on getting them (and they cant be bought back easily if at all if sold).

Obj 416 and IS-3 are pretty much the only standard non-prem tanks i would keep (if i was poor in cred and had to sell tanks for shiny silver). Maybe even the T32 for the possible clan use but... yea...

Tier 8 in new MM isn't a tier to keep tanks in...

Honestly if you dont like the tank in tier 8 dont keep it as it will only bring frustration since Tier Xs aren't very forgiving to tier VIIIs

Charioteer? The gun is a bit potato but at least you can remove "2" key from keyboard while playing it. On the other hand, keep "2" key for some HESH memes.

No point keeping standard t8s, literally all the regular tanks used in CW/SH got replaced by prem tanks which are superior in randoms as well.

UDES is a definite keeper. It is good on 60% of maps, it struggles on 30% ( mainly city maps) and is utterly devastating on 10%. Overall it is fun to play once you understand and can manage the siege mechanic.

the JP2 is still good as well and I love the HWK12.

I'm not sure what kind of tanks you like and what do you mean by competitive (competitive =/= OP) but the T8 tanks I have or will buy back one day, are the following:

  • IS-3 (for obvious reasons)
  • T32 (turret is still stronk)
  • 110 (waiting for the HD model)
  • Pershing
  • UDES (sadly I don't have crew atm. That camo tho.)
  • ISU 152 (will see how the nerf goes first)
  • AMX 50 100 (it has seen better days)
  • M41 Bulldog (also seen better days)
  • Rhm. Borsig WT or Ferdinand (if you don't own Skorpion G)
  • JPanther II

These are the ones that come to mind, but I would like to say that I didn't play all the T8 tanks yet so this is just my opinion so far...

well...i like and can play any role in randoms..thats why i didnt mentioned, but also i want to see if theres any tank for CW, SH, teams...still competitive.

and when i say competitive i mean a tank able to win vs any other tank from his class and tier with standard ammo...

for randoms can be usefull more tanks...but for SH, CW...etc?

I dont want to pay WG for a stupid OP tank. Their mistakes should be punished not rewarded...

For me IS3 still best tank in the tier - but will take me forever to catch up stats having owned it when I was not even good enough to be called tomato.

Emil I is the equal of the new premiums and I will buy back when line grind complete, slow turret and other issues but overall extremely capable..

After those 2 nothing else quite so good but....

STA1 I love but STA2 I own and almost identical so I will never have both.

50-100 still a beast though haven't played Lorr at tier 8 to compare.

T-32 good but not enough to make me want to go back to it.

WZ-132 and Bulldog can be fun and are competitive.

JPanther2 I didn't feel like crying at the lasck of turret so can't be that bad (I really hate playing TDs).

T28 prot I would have liked if it had more speed - havent played post buff of the line.

That's about it from me rest are poor. Although I want to recommend the TVP to everyone. Best tier 8 ever. Honest. Not faking this. Didn't rage sell it twice before eventually finishing the grind.

Tiger II - Not played this on my main account, But i love it despite what people say about it being bad, Gun is good, Armour can bounce afew shots, and it isnt dreadfully slow, Better than IS-3 imo

110 - Not the best but i seemed to enjoy it, not played in it much but the games i have played it in were pretty good.

Emil and 50 100 were lovely but it doesn't really matter with new matchmaking

While the Tiger II isn't as bad as everyone says*, and I have to agree that it's at least interesting to play, if you think it's better than IS-3 it's time to ask for some stronger pills. :P

*I used the '2' key a lot after rebuying it. 285mm pen makes it somewhat relevant even in T10.

I kept IS-3 and AMX 50 100 because once upon a time those were some of the go-to choices in team battles and tier VIII SH. I don't think I kept anything else at that tier. Nowadays why bother keeping any tier VIII at all? Everything that was regularly used in pre-made battles now has a premium counterpart that does the same thing, but better.

Really not getting all the tantrums being thrown over the ISU-152 getting a pen nerf. 260mm pen is still ridiculously good. You could always play the Borsig with the 15cm for 750 alpha and a turret and deal with 215mm of pen.....

and a turet and much better cammo and 2nd gun very competitive also on Borsig and sure...334 pen if you PAY MORE...

Those are big advantages and ISU dont need a nerf like this.

In fact, whats the difference really when we use gold?

Its just a premium ammo increase in his loadout. MORE P2W PLEASE !

Ive always hated the IS3, never liked it. Hull armour is bad, Dont like the gun on it, And turret has the turret roof weakspot. Only thing that i really kinda thought was okay about it was mobility and the spaced side armour. Not saying its a bad tank, Just saying i dont like it - Only reason i bought the IS-3A prem before anybody points it out as im one of those people who collect the limited sale prems :P excluding Defender and Chrysler as i bought them for a friend instead of myself.

If they bother to nerf the ISU, the RHM is likely next. RHM is overperforming. ISU is not. However, a RHM might sit less in a bush.

on tier 8, I would keep VK 100.01P, RHM-B and IS-3.

didn't play the tier 8 murricans so far.

Tiger II armor is a joke (although the turret got a bit better) and the top gun doesn't do enough damage in relation to the cost of shells!
