Ok so since WOT is ALL about stats and stats padding these day why don't the player stats keep a running total of all damaged inflicted to Allie players and more importantly allied players killed.

This can then be used to a negative value to add to a players soo called wn 8 maybe that would reduce the amount of team killing and mupets shooting you in the back for any perceived slight they think you may have caused them.

I sure as hell don't mind having the VERY small number of allies ive killed shown on my stats or the small amount of allied damaged ive inflicked, hell I play arty and TDs as well on the front line XD.

Or it might create a new class of player trying to get as high a negative score as possible without getting banned.

A 12t on low hp drove in front of my tank as i was clipping a t71 earlier - he died

As i was retreating at full speed he was ranting in chat and i was trying to explain to him in chat how it was an accident,

because i was typing as well as driving i had no control of my tank other than full speed forward

- paying no attention i accidentally rammed into one of our tds on low hp killing him too and earning an hour ban :P hahha Sometimes this game lol

I tend to put my teammates out of their misery if they get perma tracked. It's like when you hit an animal with a car. It's not your fault but it's a shame to let animal suffer longer than it needs to. :D

There is a ribbon (or what ever they are called) that you get each time when you play 50 battles in a row without damaging an ally. That gives a good estimate about how toxic someone is against their teams. Luck evens out for everybody after enough battles, everyone gets their gun crossed by allies every now and then.

bit of a crap name for a worthwhile ribbon... "Battle Buddy"

(i've got a few of them as well)

i wish they had called it something a bit more...

...mature?

...grown-up sounding?

maybe i'm just getting more cynical in my advancing years

peace

It's useless for most players, as in old players. As there is no way for you to know how many games I had when that ribbon was added. So for all you know... I might not have gotten as many as I should have.

Pretty useless as it got introduced only a few years ago.

A teamdamage stat would probably motivate some idiots to "pad" that, but you could manually ban them, so I do think that it wouldn't be that bad. But it would probably increase the forum toxicity, too...

Just wanted to add that I just got banned for trying to right an ally. I pushed him down a small incline but sadly fell on top of him killing him and banning me for an hour. Serves me right I suppose. I won't be trying to help any one else out again.

Off to cry into a beer.

While I could explain my lack of Battle BuddyTM medals by my account age, the real reason is that I hate getting them.

Well, not really, I just don't drive very carefully. Neither does every other light tank though, actually nailed a few low-HP light tanks recently by them veering into me.

I shoot those who deserve it. Simple. Couldn't care less about stats like these.
