How about we introduce a mode where you can play where no premium tanks or premium ammo is allowed?

- No heavy tanks getting penned by light tanks anymore

- No E-25's ripping tier 5 tanks apart

- No more tier 8 op premium tanks
- Balanced gameplay that everyone can enjoy

Just World of Tanks how it was meant to be.

They were buffed to combat them weren't they? (maybe they should reverse it) (The point I'm making is, WOT is slowly dying as the Premium Tanks take over)

There is no evidence of that.

It could change the meta so that tanks with higher pen vs. high DPM are more popular.

Hm.. if only there was a tank which had both... like the Chi-To.

So you want to bar people who put money into the game from playing with their premium tanks and gold ammo.  I guess your not a business man then, what would be the purpose of buying premium tanks/gold because players would tick the option not to play with gold ammo/premium tanks players.  Don't make sense, the game is free to play because people invest their money into the game.

Have you not noticed the slow but steady increase in use of premium tanks. Also, almost everyone of Quickybaby's replays now features premium tanks. More pay to win by the day. And for any game, that's a slippery slope.

Aside from tier 9 and 10. They need to be. If they are anything but top tier, heavy tanks are just slow mediums and get killed easily.

But the vast majority of superheavies are overperforming as it is already, removing premium ammo is just another overbuff to these tanks that is really not needed.

If only map design would favour flanking....

They buffed the superheavies to compensate for the premium tanks and ammo. They just made a problem on top of a problem. I'm not saying the superheavies are fine as they are.

I wasn't talking about flanking, but yes flanking should be more of on option. Strategy should be more of an option.

So selling more expensive premium tanks for real money is a sign of a game's demise?

No, it was fine until something a year ago when the Mutz came. One of the first premiums that were not underaverage, but overaverage (nog counting the E-25)

"Slippery slope" is exactly what it is.  I think WG has emphasised the p2w element of the game too much over the course of the last year and that runs the risk of deterring those players, who I guess are in the majority, who cannot pay to stay competitive.  Playing WoT without a premium account is a hard grind.  If you're such a player and at tier 6 you start finding overpowered premium tanks in your face I think it's quite likely you'll give up.

I'm keeping an eye on the number of premium tanks I see in higher tier battles, particularly things like Patriots.  WG needs to avoid the situation where teams regularly have 5 or more premium tanks and it's pretty close to that on some days, I find.

The increase in premium tanks is probably because there are lots more of them available now and they are no longer worse than standard types.

The player base free advertising also has an effect, players are told that a tier 8 premium prints credits, which they do.

Based on that why would anyone who can afford premium tanks not use them.

When I am shooting at them I really don't care if the player bought it with money or playing time, my shells still bounce pr penetrate and they blow up or do the same to me.

Its the player that's the difference not the pixels.
