That is the question.

I like having "Gotcha" cammo but WT IV doesn't look half bad either. Gun-wise seems pretty much the same. Mobility seems better on the IV, though. Need a tiebreaker.

Which one you'd go for and why?

Id say Borsig is better tier for tier, But neither are bad. When i played Borsig i used E100 gun and spammed heat.. was fun especially with the fantastic camo

I would say the Borsig, although they are both great tanks, it's just that the Borsing does pretty much the same as the Pz IV, except the Borsig is a tier lower, and has better camo

I'd go for Borsig, if I had to pick one.
Because there are clan/team battle modes for Tier 8, but not for Tier 9.

But luckily I have lots of garage space so I don't have to pick. :P
Speaking of which, another tip:
Grab yourself some gold, and buy some extra garage slots when they are -50% cheaper.
There are a couple such events throughout the year.

Think the WG anniversary is coming up next weekend, anyway it's very soon, maybe that's the next best opportunity, those cheap garage spaces do pay off. :)

Now that I plot the Borsig, it looks a lot like a non-premium Skorpion G with less speed and more cammo. And features less crew to train. Yes, CW/SH is also a concern, so this might work. I still wanna learn more about the other, though.

RHM WT is a classic, no excuse to ignore it.

Both are pretty bad. Stealthy, slow paper snipers in a meta that's all about brawling. Borsig is the better tank but it's very overrated and a lot of players seem to think it's like the 3rd best tank of the tier. The tier 9 Waffle I loathed with passion because it has no gun elevation or gun depression and has a rear-mounted turret. Basically the whole tank is screaming "don't play the game."

The way to play Borsig is to pick the 15cm gun and spam 330 HEAT with it. It's very bad for sniping though because it has truly terrible shell speed.

^^^ 15cm with HEAT, go carefully support your HTs, high risk high reward - you have enough pen to go through literally any HT.

Pick the Borsig, load the 150mm for some fun and get constant open maps full of high speed Light's. Miss most shot, get frustrated (again, cause you have forgotten what a pain it was) with the 20 second reload so refit the 128mm  -next map is Stalingrad :(

Its not really a choice, you get the Borsig anyway if you have your eyes on the WT-though you might stop there, for when you do get that surprise drop on the unsuspecting red tank who thinks you have the small gun fitted, the Romulan Borsig is as good a one-shot-derp as anything out there!

cheers

Just a Question. Does the Borsig suffer in the current MM?

Yes, both do. They were great tanks, and you can still have great games, but overall their time has passed. There is now a run of tanks from the Sturer Emil to the Grille 15, either crapped on by MM or harshly nerfed.

Just as the Skorpion G doesnt suffer in the current MM. NO high tier Tds suffer much. You can still easily penetrate everything you meet without spamming too much premium ammo. Plus it's always fun to slap a tier X superheavy for 750+ damage in a tier VIII.

If anything the current MM makes high alpha high pen lower tiers more exciting.

Now, let's see...

  • WT got better DPM than both the borsig and the even the grille (you can rape even tier 10 tanks with that DPM).
  • WT also got more pen than both.
  • a bit awkward to use cause you have to peek corners backward to have enough gun depression over the back of the tank (not a big deal tho).
  • I tried the 15 cm guns on both the borsig and the WT and they are simply AWFUL.

WT was definitely a keeper but as long as there is a skorpion, why would you play the borsig?

But what if I wanted one of them and already owned the Skorp?

The WT IV must be one of the worst high tier tanks I have played. The Grille 15 is [edited] too. The Rhm. Borsig could be fun with 15 cm  gun, but otherwise I don't recommend the Germans TDs (Skorpion G is god like thu).

than you got a broken one the gun elevation should be close to 45°

for depression use it backwards

I always liked the WT IV better. It is just a bit more versatile due to its mobility. In terms of camo, the WT is not that much worse. The rear turret which allows you to negotiate corners a bit better is worth a lot, IMHO. The real fun is at TX, though. The Grille, even post nerf, is just a blast to play.

The Rhm Borsig WT must have something going for it. Higher tiers (VIII plus) are not my best, but my Borsig stats are below. I have only ever used the 128mm since I researched it. It is a keeper, at least for now.

I want to like the WT Pz IV, but it doesn't like me much. It did (finally) get me TD-15 for the T-55a., recently, so it isn't all bad.

The 12.8cm for the Borsig is better in almost all ways. Only reason to use the 150mm imo is because it is fun to slap 750 alpha heat shells into heavy tanks. It also adds some variation if you have the Skorpion.
