He linked the video ( which was posted already yesterday by some one else ) from AgedJedi about the amount of replays he get send were you clearly can see an aimbot is used and the lack of interest from WG when he tries to report them...

We already had two threads about it. And the video doesn't provide any new information or news. It's just another confirmation that WG doesn't care.

It's just fuel for noobs who want someone other than themselves to blame when they die.  That and clickbait for a failing yootoobe channel.

Knowing this playerbase, WG probably has their reasons for sending automatic replies on the topic.

Aimbots... well, it's not good, but I'd rather have WG spending resources figuring out other aspects of the game than somebody using a piece of software to get aim half as good as my hand-eye coordination, a result of  millions of year of evolution (or by the hand of God, whatever your preference is).

Ohh, a 18 minutes of some random guy talking about aimbots but not showing any footage of those aimbots (at least he say that is not gonna show anything in the first minute).....

Really, why would anyone watch 18 minutes of blabbering when you can put it in 3-4 written sentences that can be read in 30 seconds ??:sceptic:

perhaps he loves his own voice

or

loves all the attention he could get

or

he is happy about every fool wasted 18min of his life for his brabblings

Tbh, Jedi should have taken a different approach to do this along with the other youtubers that gets replays like that. As the amount of tinfoil's only grows larger when they see it. As we clearly did see when QB did his "cheat" video. As after that, I got several PMs a day for "hacking" because reasons.

I'm sure WG don't have the manpower to watch every single replay that gets sent their way via support. As I'm sure they get thousands of replays a day that claims someone used hacks vs them. And a handful of people can't cover that each day. But if they get it from their CC in ways of replays sent their way. WG would indeed heed it or watch it. And do something more with it. But still... there are other ways to get WG to work with CC on that issue, as stirring up the pot like that is just making it worse before it gets better tbh.

The problem is that the video was made after he'd spoken to the WG community team about the issue that when he had a replay, that he believed clearly showed the use of an aimbot, the current policy of CS is to do nothing whereas before they would take action against the player. It's not as though it's 18 mins of OMG everyone is cheating.

Sayng that it doesn't surprise me that much that's the current policy. It's what they done with other aspects. Introduce a technical solution and then remove the option of a manual 'report'.

WG just doesn't want to spend resources on the issue. Also this thread will probably be deleted as with other aimbot threads. But let me just say this, the new bot expert was only supposed to be starting in September/fall or something. How can an 'automated' system be in place now.

And even if this system is in place now, it must be 90's tech as there is no way that only a few 1000 players (according to ban reports) are using bots of all the millions of wot players.

I'm a bit confused. If WG don't want to spend resources on this then why are the hiring someone dictated to the task?

There is a difference between working on a structural solution and hiring a dozen customer service people who have to watch replays.

Working on a structural solution is still spending resources though isn't it?

Sure it is, but my point was that there is hardly a benefit of spending a lot of recources/cash on researching every single report now. It's like mopping with the hose open as we say in Holland.

True is they are not doing enough to solve this issue.

Only sollution is to remove res_mods completely  and put their own mods, or mods which can be downloaded from thei official website.

Sorry, I read it as a complaint that WG don't spend resources.

Moreover, it is not a given that the dozen customer service people would be more expensive. Someone just watching and reviewing presumably is on a different pay scale than a skilled programmer, and even to the extent the former would be ongoing costs, the programmer would still be needed to keep adjusting the code as people find ways around it.

The reality though is that a dozen such CS people would almost certainly be nowhere near enough.
