The idea of 30vs30 is all fun and games until you realize that between double the tanks and double the

map and all their interactions with each other, that means vastly more work for your PC to process:

Long-story-short: Between the 30v30 Grand Battles game mode and a normal 15v15 match, for me frame rate dropped by about 30%, memory use went up by 25%, network use doubled (not that it really matters), and CPU and disk load didn't significantly change.

Now everyone has a different feel for what minimum frame rate is playable, and that's all and good, whatever works for you is just fine.  But whatever that number is, if on your PC your frame rate currently is marginal, you will need to look at ways to boost the frame rate by cutting detail settings, decreasing resolution, or buying faster GPUs to maintain your preferred playable frame rate in Grand Battles mode.

I know the question is going to come up so let me spell out my rig's setup:

Dual hex-core 3.33Ghz Xeon CPUs

Supermicro X8DAH motherboard

48 GB DDR3 RAM

Dual Samsung 850 Evo SSD (RAID-0)|

ASUS Geforce GTX 1080 GPU

Visio 40" UHD 4K display (3840x2160)

I specially built Ryzen 5 PC with a GTX1080 for the WoT Grand Battles, so I should be good to go /s.

(Srsly, I mostly play WoT and indie games. Idk why I sperged money on this... I guess it's nice PUBG runs well.)

Dat OP's rig tho... holy moses.

i5 3.4ghz, 8gb and 1050 TI did it fine on sandbox version. It should be OK with this too (or if you have similar specs), I suppose.

960 4GB Skylake i5 16gbDDR4 RAM. Runs fine BF1 on medium graphics so i dont thing there will be any problem. But 1080 is a serious overkill for WoT :D . And for almost all game out there.

Although terribly unscientific I have had 4 battles on megamap on CT can't say I noticed a difference mind u I didn't look at FPS, normally get around 55, but it felt ok on my laptop. Weakest part of mine is the GTX 840m. So will have a look later on when this map is played again.

BTW its refreshing to have another map especially with the 30v30. Such good fun:)

5 years old rig with 4 Gb Ram and Gforce 460 GTi 768Mo RAM: smooth as silk.

I will report back the FPS as soon as I get a 30x30 battle (done: 48 FPS), but I didn't notice any problem whatsoever with all graphics settings on 4/5.

Then I doubt your rig is worse ;) I run on med settings though, I have around 40 with everything to min.

Do you have a desktop or notebook? The thermals could make a big difference.

Imagine this map in full HD, so 4k textures and terrain + models of extremely high polygon count. It would instantly let all our potato machines go super critical

RIP my ancient X5460 + R9 270x

Desktop, got really bad cpu and only 4 gbs of ram, but I guess good graphic card allows me for comfortable gameplay

I dont think 4 or 8 gigs matters for this game.

My problem is thermal, like i said, its a ultrabook. Weighs 1.5kg, 13 inch screen and 1.9 cm thick.  So its a very cramped space, after a session i can feel the heat trough the 8 cm solid wood table.

I hope i can play after the hd maps.

Should be possible to get some sort of cooling station to sit the computer on while you play!

Not sure if it would help much tbh, and  its not like I need it , I am fine with my current fps.

Thermal issues is exactly why i stopped playing WASD on my laptop, but on the numpad instead: GPU and heatsink is located on the left side, so the right side where the numpad is isn't as hot...

Lucky you, you actually have a numpad :(
