I like the Pudel like the other panthers. Quickfire gun and good HP means mistakes are not as heavely punished as with high reload tanks and the HP keeps you alive.

Having bought one myself and played it quite a bit, I can say this:

Overall an ok tank, not overpowered and not underpowered. BUT this tank, because of it's low alpha, needs proper snapshot capabilities. None of your snapshots will ever hit and being used to a tank one tier lower which is very similar: The Panzer V/IV, the gun handling on the Pudel is atrocious.

Look at the gun handling of the Panzer V/IV and take inspiration for gun handling buffs.

There is no reason why close range snapshots and peek-a-boo shots in this tank should miss, at all. That is a good balancing mechanic for the larger caliber potato canons but guns of this small caliber should be accurate enough to do snapshots with. You don't have the alpha to scare off people and in the case of Pudel you also don't have the accuracy to properly snipe with. Shots go all over the place, so what you are left with is a tank that must brawl but which is, due to gun limitations, technically impossible to brawl with.

Now when we've got the Polish Pudel I surely hope that we'll get the British Cuckoo as well.

Pudel = just a HP pinjata with potato gun, and that dispersion values it's like ....#RipDreams... dont like it and will nevery buy it as it is right now, there are alot of Tier 6 premium tanks that are faaaar better, and If you realy want the new polish crew.. just wait untill they come to tech tree and play SH with regular Tier 6 tank with crew boost's activated, or wait for top of the tree for polish tank and then you have crew exp activated and untill tier 10 with frew crew boosts it's easy to get to 4-5 skilled crew -  no point of playing it right now and having rage moments with pudle... if you take a look at people that are streaming on twitch and playing pudle you can cleary see that they dont like it eather, IMO...

Like SirFoch doesn't eat bread from tank videos?

Don't get me wrong, I like his streams and youtube videos, but the money all of these get come from youtube/twitch advertizers, not WG.

Did you actually watch the videos? I just saw QBs and he has several negative things to say, eg that it is very much not unique and pretty much identical to the regular German techtree tank, just a tad bit more side armour.

OTOH, Im not really aware of any major Polish tankbuilding program through history, so I think this is a good approach from WG to put in a captured enemy tank, and thus have proper historical context.

This is clearly a tank for people that wants for train a (free BIA) crew for when a full tree comes(?) in the future. And as such, it sure beats eg the Swedish tank available before the techtree, as the Pudel has a full size crew of 5, instead of as the Swedish that only had 3 crewmen and ontop of that, in a configuration not used in any other Swedish medium... in fact only the Swedish HTs do. So the Pudel looks like a balanced and USEABLE crewtrainer for those interested. :great:

It has absurd turret armor. You can't penetrate the gun mantle with 175 pen. At the same time everyone plays this tank gold only.

It is total [edited].

Most of tanks have strong gun mantle - this tank is nowhere near to be called overpowered.

Yeah I actually manage to bounce a couple of shots on the turret now that you mention it, at least *ONE* part of the tank actually has armour then.

Edit: Review of the thing:

Yes you can. Check the armour model. Green indicates where you can pen with min/max values. Orange shows the smallest effective armour value I could find in the pink area:

I had a game a couple of days ago on the Siegfried Line where a Skoda T40 put an AP round through my Pudel's gun mantle. It has 145 pen on its 88mm gun, so it can be penned, but sometimes you can get (un)lucky bounces on it.
