As I just cannot count myself those values for given experience and especially diffenrence between arties and regular tanks, I'm asking at some of you could open this issue a little bit more for me. Situation where I would like to have some transparency:

Full X-tier battle, map Pilsen.

T92 => 6 shots, 3/3 direct hits/pen, 2021 hp dmg + 100 assisted + 176 stun-dmg, total 4 tanks damaged, drive 0,75 km. Result: Place 14 with 375 base-exp.
---compare---
E100 => 3 shots, 3/2 direct hits/pen, 776 hp dmg, bounced dmg 320 hp, total 1 tank damaged, drive 0,65 km. Result: Place 11 with 396 base-exp.

As far as we just look numbers, this seems to be quite unfair for arty. Nearly 3 times more dmg and more damaged tanks etc. Of course E100 did all dmg inside 300 m range and arty all over that range but can the respect of range be that huge?

Okay, we are speaking about arties etc. but still, please guys, let's focus only to this issue - there is other topics to speak about arties yes/no belongings on the wot :)

You didn't spot the tanks you shot.

Well the E100 did actually drive the tank and engaged in a closed combat while the T92 was sitting in the corner of the map playing with one hand only so I don't see the issue

Difference is still quite wide - is it so, at 1 tank which you see when you shoot + dmg it (it was earlier already spotted, so it wasn't new spot) can be more valuable than about 3 times more done dmg count? And there is still other affecting values... I cannot say about E100 but T92 did dmg 7 modules.

Your damage was spotted by others, thus you get half the XP out of it.

Basicly, your XP worth damage is 2021/2+100+176 = 1286.5
The E100's damage was most likely spotted by himself and wasn't tracked by anyone. He also got a kill, and may have damaged higher tier tanks than you.

So basicly working as intended.

Besides, arties should get 0 xp.

I believe XP gain for arty, besides not being a tank or spotting own targets, depend quite a bit on assist damage. Simple 'direct' damage doesn't count a lot, for abovementioned reasons. A mix might be optimal - though we don't really know if a combination is better than one high value.

That's the disadvantage for being able to shoot across the map and damaging enemies that have no way of defending themselves. It's a very low-risk playstyle which (should) get lower rewards.

On the other hand the E-100 putting himself in harms way at the front line gets more rewards as he is playing a high-risk playstyle.

You want more xp, play actual tanks at the front.

That's what you get being *edited* camping other side of the map and lobbing shells over obstacles at poor enemies that cannot do anything about it.

This about sums it up. As you are not spotting the vehicles you damage, half goes for the one who spots it, the other half, for you. Makes perfect sense and it's fair.

Also you hit across the map, don't risk almost anything and you are (generally) the last to die :coin:

Looks like justice to me. If you shoot solitary targets (virtually 0 stun & assist) you do not deserve more. Not that arties would ever deserve any xp anyways.

Perhaps you could try to do what arties are nowadays meant to do and stun targets for you team and you might actually find yourself from higher up on the list.

If anything arty exp is a bit high at the moment but it does depend on getting plenty of assisted damage from stunning.

All in all, put some binocs on your T92, and go spot for yourself. :P

Your team did all the risky work. You sat in the base.

The reward was perfectly fine.
