Is that tank obtainable via invite system ONLY for new players? Or for inviting back old inactive players aswell? I never understood that.

Both. But if you invite an inactive player you have to platoon together for 1 million xp to get the tank. If you invite your own new alt account you can just grind a tier 10 and be done with it.

A word of warning before you go ahead - the tank, as it is now is slightly mediocre.

I find the T25 Pilot 1 and Pershing to overall be better vehicles.

T95E2 is a novely until it gets penetration/armor buffs.

It's more a collectors item then anything. It's rather rare still. But the thing to keep in mind is that the T95E2 is a crew trainer only. No premium income. So if OP feels it's not worth it then if he is going to grind it alone.

I had 4 recruits, 2 new and 2 returning. We did gather half the XP in a platoon in the end. But one stuck around long enough to get a tier X of the 2 new. Took him 11 months on and off :P Can't say it was worth the wait. I played 3 games in it until I aced it. And not touched it since. Even if it had more pen I doubt I would play it more. It's not that great.

I'm not a collector, but I want it, simply  because it's rare and few ones will have it.

I made an alt account (not reroll) to grind it ^^

On paper it does look awful and still has the tumourous commander turret on top... but I don't mind.

Grinding a tier X tank is not the best way to go about getting it.

You have to grind said tank, AND buy it.

700-800k exp is required to grind to buy a tier X (plus the silver grind, so probably premium time required).

Imagine that two players want it, they can work together... Each invites the other to join with a dud account (or two, or three).  Both guys grind up to about tier 6 and then go idle.  After a few months of idle time WG will send out a "come back and play with us, and get x3 for your next 100 battles that last until the end of the month!" sort of email..

Now, You play in the platoon with your tier 6.. Assuming 600xp on win, and 400xp on loss (just making up numbers, but meh)...

You will get x3 for playing with them (yay, 1 game is like playing 3)...

They will get x3 for playing with you if they win (yay), x3 for the welcome back (yay), and hopefully you can throw in some extra stuff like the free premium time from training camp and that sorta stuff..

So assuming the above averages you'll get about 2100 xp on average per battle for your first 100 battles, 3,150 using the free premium day you saved, and chances are the grind to tier 6 got you a few 100% xp boosters too, so that takes it to 3,900... A clan could bump that up a bit too, but lets leave that out.

So 3,900 average would mean only 256 battles.. Since the 100 battles bonus email doesn't go to 256, well that's the reason you invited your pal twice ;P..

So here's the kicker.

You play about 260 battles with your pal (using your main account) and you end up with 1mil silver, the tank, and the crew that you throw away.

Your pal does the same.

Can you get to a tier X tank in 260 battles, AND can you get to a tier X tank in 260 battles while earning your main account another 1 million silver WHILE ALSO earning yourself 290k experience towards your own tanks/crew training?

So shrug, Grind away to a tier X as you wish, but having a buddy (and 2-4 days you can REALLY grind on) are the best way to do this mission.   On top of that you should save it until there is a "all day" bonus xp event, they are rare but they do happen.

Just sayin.
