.so all week been pootling along very nicely 55-60% WR and all is well with the world

last night i remembered i had loads of PRs so applied some,.. since then i have played 21 games and won 7..

Are personal reserves cursed ?

Or is it you just try harder to get the most Xp/Credits and of course the harder you try the harder you fail :-)

Did you earn the personal reserves by missions or did you buy them for gold/real money?

Well seeing your average wr and recents your 55-60% streak was hardly going to last forever. It's pretty normal to start looking for "reasons" for having a bad streak, but I'd just put it down to bad luck and randomness.

Edit: And as you mentioned yourself, you might actually try to do too much and get too many games in before your reserves end.

The latter, I think. Either that or you are just having bad luck on the team MM., which happens.

I noticed the same thing. I wondered if my play style changed when I was aware that I had 2 hours to get boosts. I think that I was playing more aggressively and this contributed to the reduced WR. Like you, I also suspected that WoT cursed personal reserves.

4 wins from 16 today with reserves on , so will end it and come back later with no reserves and see if play style changes..

Could of course just be bad luck, it is after all the weekend :-0

My winrate always dives when I'm using personal reserves. I think, in the end, you earn more XP or whatever without them on.

I had a 2,5k wn8 session with 80% wins reserves on and I promised myself to remember that every time the rng screws me over.

One thing I also noticed is that I play better when I play a few battles (like 10 or 15),if i start playing a lot i tend to play worse and lose focus. Usually when you activate personal reserves you're playing a lot, which at least for me is bad for my wr.

I know that my performance changes when I have specific objectives in mind. The other day I sat in the open trying to get my sixth kill and was one-shotted by a green player in his M4 because I was focussed on (ultimately pointless) personal gain and not winning. As one of the best (stats wise) and the most successful (damage/kill wise) in that team, my destruction was a big blow and we did lose.

When chasing mission objectives I can get even more silly. Rather than sit back and accept a win with some support from me, I will put myself at greater risk- sometimes with obvious results. This might well include trying to get some damage for the day's x2, or not wasting PRs by achieving nothing.

It's a theory that has been put forward before, and quite a valid one, I think.

Also, in fairness, if you have been playing/winning above your average recently, then maybe MM/RNG luck has just caught up with you- unfortunately.

Of course, is manipulated. Everything this game is manipulated. If you play today well, tommorow you lost all games. This is WOT, super rigged gamed.

I have bought them...

There are missions for this? I hardly see them.

Are they those 'special' missions?

There's so many random "specials" and weekend missions that my personal reserve thingy is permanently stuck at 99+ without ever giving a damn. They're pretty nice for grinding a crew to a useful level fast or grinding through a horrid stock tank fast, but especially the 1 hour 50% boosts just keep piling up.

Same sh** happened me this evening. Decided to play the game again after a small break from it. I decided to play the T34-85M and quickly got back into the swing of things starting with an Ace tanker round,

Spoiler

So with the crew bonus in place I decided I'd upskill the crew of my new T34-85M which I like a lot and why not pop a few personal reserves since I have stacks and further increase my xp right? makes sense? gotta couple of hours to spare n'all. I popped a 300% crew xp and a 50% free xp  and what happened? Pretty much got fu**ed up the as* heavily for those two hours with team after team of utter WoT cancer the likes I've never seen before and gifted 33% win rate or maybe even less. I didn't play too badly myself and was pretty relaxed for the first hour but then I was just, "why do I even bother?" this is no hope. Bottom tier all the time too which I don't mind much at all tbh it's normally fine to be bottom tier so long as the top tier on your team pull their weight a bit but when they're those "special" players.. it's just hard to win when 2 tiers lower with that much less firepower and hp difference..

I plowed on anyway and once the personal reserves ran dry guess what? Business as usual and win rate back up around whatever the fork I usually knock in.. massively offset of course by that bum bashing 30% win rate during those 2 hours horrendous hours but I think I finished positively anyway.. never again!!

It's placebo. I get (winning / losing) streaks with reserves and without them.

No. I play with personal reserves activated about half of the time, and there is definitely no curse attached.
