We are still getting showered with replays glorifying individual aberrantly high damage achievements, while what is really desperately needed right now more than ever is examples of excellent team efforts.

1) They do occasionall show teamplay orientated games

2) To show teamplay orientated games, you need people to send in replays of such games. How often do you think that happens?

Streamers just need to stop tryharding so much with the gold ammo *sees a tank which isn't completely paper* *breaks 2 key*

Don't forget about all those 'mountaingoat' hill climbing tutorials.

Now every [edited] tries to climb on mountains and contribute with nothing for the win.

IMO there are just 3-4 climbs that can be done quick enough and you really help your team from there.

Only Streamer-Youtuber i think that is causing harm to the game is QB.. Because how ever we look at it his a low tier padding unicum..*edited* He always promoted SOLO play and not to care about others.

He mostly plays tier IX and X other than the brief sections when he plays viewers poll tanks. *edited*

I know what you mean, some of those videos you see tanks completely ignore a flank they could, and really should, help so that they can go off and farm the easy damage. People see this and then think 'if I ignore my team, I get 10k damage too!', which just exacerbates the situation when they lack the skill to pull it off.

You often see when the YouTubers put their own replays up that they use the team rather than help the team. Now don't get me wrong, they are good players, but they achieve that consistency at the expense of the team a lot of the time. I never really noticed it until that 6 community contributors vs 6 clan members event. They were screaming at Circon to use his HP as he was lurking behind them sniping for most if it.

Random battles are filled with players on both ends of the scale that have no idea about or no interest in team play. You see dickhead #1 in a lttb camping in game 1, not spotting at all, winds up carrying. You look at his stats and he has a 65% WR. You see dickhead #2 in a lttb camping in game 2, he does nothing. You look at his stats and he has a 40% WR. Both took the same position at the start though.

Part of the problem is communication. Unless you are in a platoon, coordinating a push or a flank with people of various nations speaking various languages is problematic. Map pings and the F7 key can only get you so far. That said, with this particular community I am not sure I'd want more communication. I imagine voice comms would be a toxic pit of racism, homophobia and bullying.

It's refreshing in that regards if only for that reason

I sometimes see a few streamers on the wotlabs site and they appear to have some sort of unicorn cloaking device. They drive out from behind cover and shoot tanks to death that always completely ignore them and allow them do it unanswered as though the targeted player doesn't see them or notice getting shot even though the unicorn is half exposed and clearly shooting them. Yet when I try it I get shot in the face immediately and hit by arty, tracked and crew all dead.. you DAMN unicorn magic!

Because obviously, using premium ammunition isn't part of everyday game play...

I might not be an expert on WoT streamers, but a common theme is that they are almost always at the frontlines doing damage, not sitting around and waiting. Crazy high damage games are almost universally, independent of the player, a result of the team collapsing at some point. Early damage is good, and part of teamplay.

Besides, I've tried the so-called 'teamplay'. It's generally a bad idea to rely on teammates (without communication). You don't know if they can, will or even know to help you. Frankly, I wouldn't even rely on me helping myself out (though my good-spirited self will usually bail someone out if the reward is higher than the risk).

And it makes sense and it was the hamster guy that made it.

It's true though. Coupled with them stronk tenks, SH/CW going to edited, this was bound to happen.

Using it on paper tanks is pointless and when streamers do it they encourage other people to do it too. I've always said there needs to be a limit on how much gold ammo people can take into battles just to force them to actually aim and learn weakspots. AKA learning to play the game instead of just pointing and clicking.

Like 90% of you isn't even capable of teamwork. You don't know how to do things,

and when to do them. So how you want to solve a puzzle with half the parts missing?

What i find disgusting is that alot of those streamers advertise the use of premiumammo "when they just dont want to bounce"... Im sorry but i never ever want to bounce still i really try to limit premiumammo usage wherever possible.

Saw a game once where a T54 comrade in my team spammed HEAT at a hulldown T29 on the enemy team ... T9 VS T7 and still those damn tryhards cant allow others to outplay them. What mate you got a strong turret?

Still doesnt justify that some tanks can negate the supposed strenth of an enemy tank by pressing a button. Gameplaywise and knowledgewise your correct some ppl are absolutely clueless. But since usually it balances itself out because the enemy team also has their fair share of idiots.

I guess its those super competetive players who cant stand to lose when they did 4k damage so they go full in with premiumammo, premium consumables, chocolate or whatever and then do 5k average. If it was only those players i woulnt mind but those players go to youtube and boast about it and then everyone else and their mother want to do this too and spam HEAT at everything. Hopefully they will reduce the damage of premiumammo as they were thinking about. Spammers should be punished!

Reason why I often watch Zefeka's twitch channel: no premium ammo.

French streamer though.
