So for a while i was struggling in 'Sniping at distance' ...:sceptic:

I struggled to solve this problem...I actually thought i was just really bad at sniping lol...or mabye it was just the guns fault (Bad gun etc...)

Then i tried this.....

Go to Settings----Controls-----Turn down 'Mouse sensitivity in sniper mode' (Sniper aim) to mabye 20%-----Apply = problem solved

You see the thing is it might seem obvious to you hardcore gamers to do this but not to us noob gamers....and before you say i knew that already? why the f**k didnt you make a topic on it and

save me 8k games of blaming my gun :teethhappy:

PS . Yes i know its not a hack (Before you start?)

Enjoy

I don't get it... do you mean that you are so shaky that you had to turn down the sensitivity?

Not really 'Shaky'...the gun just felt 'Spongy' if you know what i mean?...doing this took the problem away (It was on 50% before)

Well, as established in a previous post I only play when drunk, so this may be worth a try.  Thanks OP!

You do know that you have different zoomlevels that make shooting at range easier?

Yes thanks for the input....but i tend not to use the greater one (x24 i think?)...

While we are on the subject are there any other controls that can benefit your performance?...i must admit i have foilage in snipermode off and extra effects off as the map looks beautiful but i find these actually

put you off a bit..

One thing i have found a must tho is 'Terrain quality' on high..

...Like i say any more food for thought from anyone??

I have the sniper view on the minimum (zero %), and I don't use that extra zoom crap. I have a HUGE mouse pad that lets me move my mouse around the whole table. I also have a mouse with more then 8000 DPI and I am using the maximum amount of DPI. This setup is not necesary for WoT, but it helps in Counter Strike.

Almost all professional CS players use a really low dpi. A high dpi doesn't help in cs.

I have a 6500DPI mouse and Arcade aim and Sniper aim are both at 60%.

I'm a freak. I've always played very high sense. I only have to move my mouse 0.8cm to move the cursor accross my entire desktop. It's funny because everyone who touches my computer has issues with the mouse.

Oh please, who needs DPI when your mouse has more balls then the rest of your team combined. :P

Yeah, I'm one of the lucky sods who still has a mechanical mouse instead of an optical mouse.

Got a few backups even. :justwait:

And honestly, changes to mouse sensitivity are highly personal.

One might want very high sensitivity while another prefers to drag his mouse all over the place.

The point being that it needs to be set to something you are comfortable with; which can vary from game to game.

With an FPS, you'll typically want high sensitivity so you can more easily look around to identify enemies; although it is far less important when it comes to targeting the right spots on said enemy (this is more of a hand-eye coordination thing).

On the flip side; with WoT your mouse only needs to move as fast, or slightly faster than the turning speed of your tank's turret; any excess beyond that is personal preference.

Oh god no, I want to look around me and be situationally aware faster than a Maus turret moves.

You need to stop confusing DPI with sensitivity. They are two different settings. If you combine the two, you get something called SI (sensitivity index).

I agree it's highly personal, but claims like "a higher DPI helps in CS" is just not correct.

This is a pretty complex video game. There are things one is bound not to know even after playing it for years. Kinda like people ;)
