Hi guys, I'm just looking for some advice on what tanks I should play/play towards. I don't wanna play past tier 6 for the moment as I want to get better at the game before I invest any serious time into any particular line. I dont enjoy the slow heavys so I've been playing in the American TD'S which I admit I'm not too great at but I'm having much more fun. Can anyone recommend anything that maybe along that sort of line?

If you like mobility go for american medium line, is pretty good for ridge fighting with nice gun depression and turrets

Don't know how to edit, but to add a little more I prefer the faster tanks with at least a half decent gun. :-)

Can you still buy that fcm50t? that would be a great option for him.

Yes, is is still on sale, but will be removed soon because it is breaking the game, Defenders don't stand a chance against it.

T-34-85 is a really good tier 6 medium thats pretty noob friendly.

T-150 is also quite good as a first heavy tank, although you'll probably do better in the OI.

OI Exp, the tier 5 Jap heavy, at the moment has a broken gun, medium like mobility and armour on par with the KV-1 which is pretty good for beginners. However, the gun is being removed next patch and its being made slower with much better armour.

I'm not sure on any TDs that are quite good for newcomers to get to grips with, the American TDs (I'm guessing the T67 and Hellcat line) are very good (t67 is beyond OP) but require a good crew and at least some experience of camo mechanics in order to make them shine brightest in.

For a fast tier 6 heavy, I would've recommended the KV-85, which is quite nimble and has a very good gun, but I wouldn't it very noob-friendly due to the low armour and pitiful gun depression.

This. I like this.

After tier V is where youstart to learn. Below that is worthless. Once you find a tier V you're comfortable with, invest the time training that crew up and advance down the line.

Thank you for all the super usefull help. For the moment I'm gonna steer away from heavys I have unlocked the KV-1 and it feels painful to play as I just don't like the speed. If anyone wants to add me in game feel free as is love someone to give me some do constructive criticism:-)

Thanks for saving the weekend. We had so many guys talking so much nonsense, so this is a joy to read. Good to find a sane person every now and then. :honoring:

Anyway, my suggestion is simple: Look the techtrees up and down, find the tanks that might look interesting to YOU. Not only the tX ones - all of them! Make a small list. Then pick three or four of the lines and slowly start grinding.

You can try going through the shermans up to the patton. Fun line, and pretty solid.

@ OP: Great to hear that you are going to stop at around tier 6 and learn the game some more. Before moving further up the tiers. Kudos and a big thumbs up to you sir.

Regarding your question, i think either going for the obj.140/T62-A line would be a good safe bet.

Its Russian tanks, which are pretty much fool proof, and theyre great all around.

Another way is going through the American meds, theyre also great fun and very balanced overall.

Which of the lines should you choose?

Pick which pleases your eyes the most. The only thing in your games that are constant are you, so pick something that you appreciate looking at.

Good luck. :girl:

even if you don't like heavies, i highly recommend is7 as a tier 10 goal. the line will teach you everything you need to know about the game while being noob friendly

Nevertheless lots of people suggesting to buy defender

Two problems with it

  • Defender is Tier 8, not Tier 6
  • It is not currently for sale

I do understand is some whining about the Defender, but is pretty pointless to help the OP.

And I still don't understand this hype about the overpowered premium tanks. We always had broken tanks and there will always be. Just learn how to deal with them, if I can do it just everybody can. I can recall only 1 situation where I lost to a defender and I am engaging them every time I see one. Knowing a tank is OP tells you not to engage it head on in an inferior tank but exploit it's weaknesses.

Or go on keeping posting on forums, hoping someone will resolve the problem for you since you cannot cope with it. :coin:

Fast tenk with firepowah?

Cromwell comes to mind. T-34, too. Skoda T25 is a beast.

Amx Elc Bis kinda fills the categories too, but it isn't... how should I put it... Very noob friendly tank.
