So im sitting on Lakeville in RU in usual bush - tier 10 MM - im up to 5.5K spotting damage when ally T34 calls me a noob and shoots me for 385 dmge - i report him unsports conduct - he dies (with no damage to enemy only 385 to me). Team needs help with killing now so i move off and kill three enemy tanks - in the end Im alone with enemy Foch who is capping and ISU152 who hasnt been seen in 5 mins so AFK or on side. I reset twice taking him to 200 HP left. He shoots me and kills me because I lost  385 to earlier ally T34.

Not the first time Ive been team shot or team killed by ally for "not" spotting when I am.

So my suggestion is a panel in game showing what youre lights are spotting by number of tanks and by assist - NOT individual tanks - this would lead to finger pointing - but collective - could include all tanks or maybe meds ??

It seems like a good idea, in general.  I wouldn't mind being able to show others how effective I am, especially if I am doing something which seems unorthodox.  If there is a general display though, available at all times showing who is scouting what then it may actually be a trigger for abuse to start?  "Hey T49, you have only spotted 400 damage so far, move and spot more for me NOW!".

I like this idea - you get told youve achieved damage due to spotting so why not inform the redline campers heavies who spotted their targets. Or can their ego's not stand the knowledge that they are sharing damage?

When that T34 start calling you names, you should have replied to him: ''Please stfu, i have 5k spot now''

And i don't think having a team display for spot would really help you on the long run. How many games with high spot you pull overall? I bet not so many.

That spot display thing would just make the team put more pressure on the lights - ''Go spot noob light, you have just 300 spot!! Report that bot!''

I am afraid all classes suffer from people who would rather carp, bully their team and generally type rather than play the game. In fact, anybody who attempts to use tactics in any form, rather than just driving straight ahead at top speed comes in for stick from the particularly idiotic...indeed, sometimes, even when driving straight ahead at top speed i have been yelled at!

The other day, my  glass T5 TD was pushed up to and out of my bush by a T7 heavy that was, strangely, behind me, since I was a "useless, camping noob." With less than 4 min of the game gone, I was already on over 1k damage and I think 4 kills. Naturally, he walked out into a storm of fire, and was killed, and I stopped enough to kill me as well. His damage inflicted, 0...

Whereas I sympathize with OP, it would need a system to show how everybody was doing at everything to be fair, and as other have said, that would in turn be misused as a club  to verbally beat anybody who was not performing in any particular stat, chosen by the idiot.

I'm really not sure that encouraging players to hurl even more abuse at LTs is a good idea.

To clarify he shot me then called me noob so no time to tell him i was on 5.5K assist - with regards to panel - as i said - overall not individual so no fingers can be pointed. Maybe meds too as my record spot damage is in ripper patton on lake ville at 8.5K. !! Or overall team - I dunno - lets have some ideas - but when youre doing good and players cant SEE you are and TK or TS you for no reason thats wrong!

So you would just want a panel saying "Total spotting damage by team: 3,456" or something?  Not sure that would help an individual being accused of NOT being part of that spotting damage.

There is no mod that will deal with the problem of certain players whose sole objective is to tell their team mates how they should be using their tanks and who feel entitled to TK if the target of their ire does not immediately agree to be their personal b*tch. The fact that they spend their whole timmye hurling abuse and are thus unable to do their own job never occurs to them. I got heavily damaged by a Smurf the other day because my paper armoured TD was 20m behind his LT and obviously I should have been up front and spotting for him instead of spotting for myself while he was hiding behind a rock unable to see a thing.

What if instead you could inspect players on your team by holding down ctrl and hover the mouse over the players name in the team list to see damage and spotting they have done? That way you wouldn't clutter the screen with too much information all at once.

Personally I don't think it would stop morons from damaging their team mates anyway. They will shoot you and just do some mental gymnastics to try to ignore the fact that you got 5k spotting.

I think it's xvm showing a bulb next to the tank that is doing the spotting. They could add that for vanilla.

Some sort of indication of if you are spotting something or one of your team I think is all we need. Maybe something like a marker above tanks you are spotting and a different marker to show someone is spotting it for you?

I have seen that too a lot, especially when you have lots of damage, but no kills due to kill stealers or just someone shooting, and it is really annoying. I once had about 2k dmg (tier 6) and no kills, 8 minutes into the game.

Some idiot Dicker Max decided to shoot me because I "had no kills, was slowing down the team and he could do a better job" I got a High Caliber and Confederate medals, and did 3 times his damage.

To stop this, it's hard because some lights may not be fully upgraded or have the equipment they want (because they don't have enough money), or just have a bad game.

Maybe when someone shoots an enemy tank, it would show who was spotting that tank (maybe make it sniper view ONLY, and show all of them).

I think I was somewhat confused by the it's generally a good idea followed by but it will be abused it a lot. Maybe I should have read more into 'seems'.

Got my derp sheridan in the middle of the abbey in a tier 10 game, at the end of the battle ( loss) i got blamed by a 50b of not doing nothing in the whole game while infact i had dealt 4k dmg ( top in my team) and harassed the majority of the heavies who were pushing the 2 line. forced him to apologize in pm's :3

While i think it's a good idea it will force blame games  through the battle
