Hello WG

TBH I don't really care if emblems and inscriptions are in the game or not, but given that you have decided to include them, how about making them big enough to see without sniper mode on max zoom. It's like half your developers wanted them and the other half didn't and you reached a bizarre compromise 'OK, how about we have them but make them microscopic.. seriously you guys won't even know they're there'.

I say double the size or scrap em'.

Yeah, i agree with you. Emblems are really tiny.

Also, i would like to preview earned emblems BEFORE assigning them to a tank forever.....:sceptic:

Make a poll, maybe WG will listen to us. Heh, who i am kidding...:trollface:

And give us the option to sell stupid emblems like these Sabaton ones, for their real value in gold.

Couldn't care less, as long as they don't allow the players to spread them across the entire tank, like in WT...

The demeaning Spoiler ruined the OP's post.

I think there are 2 schools of thought. People don't want their tanks looking "unrealistic".  People want their inscriptions to be obvious.  I sit firmly in the first.  The overly painted tanks do not sit well for me I like the small inscriptions it what tanks carried.

On a side note.  I wish I could sell the current batch of inscriptions as they will just sit at the front of my list gathering dust.

I too sit firmly in the first school.

Remember, inscriptions painted on tanks were applied with human hands using paint and chalk, and thus the size of the inscriptions was relative to the tools at hand.

See how large the Hurricane name is on this M4;

There's a lot of variation in how clear the inscriptions are, some are barely legible even when you know they are there. Presumably those are chalked, whereas the better ones have been painted on the tanks. I don't know how many and which are based on real historical inscriptions, but if they are reproduced 'faithfully', then it's fine by me.

What I do keep complaining about is lack of historically accurate national and unit markings. And while we are on the subject of small emblems, I feel that clan emblems should be at least slightly larger.

So that was applied with the help of chalk then :facepalm:

Well on some tanks due to size it's harder to see vs others. As some seem to scale to well vs tank size. Thus making them rather useless on some tanks. Like the new set we got for free just now. I put one on the Type 64, could hardly read it in the garage even. And on the Type 4, it ofc looked rather well. So having an option on some smaller tanks to increase the scale on the text, if there is room, or make it bold would be nice.

That particular photo no it looks like stencil/paint.

Maybe in the original post I should have said there are with painted markings, and photos of some with chalk markings to have made it clearer.

There are several other photos of chalk markings on WWII tanks, such as;

I'd rather not have people driving around in clown camo for free in WoT (US flag is free, inscription is the German Pick As ist Trumpf and covered up by fuel cans) - regardless of political stance I'd rather keep WoT as clean as possible, and limit any graphical jokes to the obligatory flag joke. Like slapping Polish flags on the T-10 turret front for maximum fear factor. :rolleyes:

you can spot them verry well when a tank killed you and them zoomed that tank and for me that is enough , i like it as it is so  dont change it beacouse will turn tanks into a manga shop or a grafity wall...
