I've accepted the fact that I cannot play tiers 9 and 10 and tier 8 MM is broken. As a result, I'm looking to build up a healthy garage of tier 5, 6 and 7 lights and meds, which are tanks I seem to be able to actually play and dare I say contribute to my team's efforts. So, I am looking for a trainer or two in the mid tiers that also offer fun gameplay and good credit-making potential.

I can justify the Skoda T40 as I have unlocked the Skoda T25 and will get it shortly. It seems to draw comparisons to the American T20; fast medium with a big gun for its tier and I really got on well with the T20. The T20 is probably the best medium I have played to date across any tier.

I unlocked the VK 30.01 D and will purchase that soon. While I do have the premium Pz T25, I played it for the first time in over a year this weekend and it seems quite outdated. Extremely poor view range, derpy gun and I forgot how bad the turret and tank traverse was. Very clunky tank in short. It can make decent credits, I have a few 20 - 30k credit games on a standard account, but it just feels fat and uninspiring. I'm also going to play through the VK 30.01H so I can get the VK 30.02 M. With that in mind, I can justify the Panther/M10. Not sure if the Panther/M10 is the type of medium I am after though. It seems a little sluggish for what I am looking for. More like a heavium.

And finally, while it would be a pointless purchase, the Swedish autoloader. It doesn't fit the bill of the fast medium I am looking for, but from my experience with the AMX 12t; mid-tier autoloaders seem borderline broken with the damage they can spit out so it looks like the Swede could make a nice amount of credits while being a bit of a laugh to play.

The Type 64 is a light consideration, although I would really like to get my hands on a Type 62 as the WZ-131 is a riot.

So, of the readily available mid-tier prems, which would you recommend?

Panter/M10 is no cromwel for sure but gets around without too much trouble, certainly not sluggish. The gun is good enough as it does get pref mm. Would definetly recomend it. The swedish autoloader is quite fun especialy at the end stages of the game when you are able too clip prety much everything left alive. Recomend that too. Type 64 is probably one of the strongest tanks at it's tier (in the right hands though). As for type 62 if u get a chance to get it do so. It's a fun litle tank. I enjoyed playing mine even before the new MM and I don't particularly like lights.

The Skoda is not like the T20 at all. The T20 has a good gun, good camo values, and good gun depression. The Skoda has a bad gun with really awful shell velocity, terrible camo values (it's huge!), and almost no gun depression. It's really awkward to play that huge paper box and I would not recommend it.

All those Russian T-34-85 versions as well as the Cromwell B are way way better.

Fair enough with regards to the Skoda. I tried to test them all on the test server but there are just not enough games in the mid-tiers to formulate an opinion. It racked up damage nicely enough in the few games I did get to play it. The gun hits really hard for its tier.

I have the Cromwell B and I am enjoying that as well, so that one is covered. I've definitely started to appreciate it more as I have gotten better.

Tier 7: Type 62 and Panther M10 are probably okay-ish. Maybe Berlin tanks (IS-2 and ISU-122) are not so bad as well...
Tier 6: Type 64 (overall tier 7, but with less HP - the best tier 6 prem tank), Cromwell B, T-34-85M are probably the best tier 6 choices.
Tier 5... cant really say anything is worth it... maybe excelsior and matilda are somewhat decent? not sure...
Tier 4: THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD - Pz. B2 !!!!!!1111oneoneone. Just got it few days ago and had few games today. Its a BEAST! But its on sale only once per year or so... It has pref MM, cheap prem ammo, insane armor and gun handling. Somewhat good income (comparable to tier 6) if you happen not to spam too much prem ammo. Probably the best for training all these commanders for the german heavy tanks (and why not for others too). The only downside is 4 crewman - commander, driver and !!! 2 (two) !!! radio operators.

Type 64 for sure of currently available.

Type 62 or 13 57 gf if they come up on sale, same goes for crommy B.

Your best option right now definetly type 64.

The panther M10 is fun but close to HT gameplay.

Type 64 is a no brainer for a light choice.

From "readily available meds" you don't have much besides Skoda T40 at present. Maybe Pudel, but in a high MM you are just a TD sniping so it is not much fun 100% of the time.

Overall I would say there are two must haves: Cromwell B unless you have a regular Cromwell in the garage and AC4. AC4 is a weird one, slow acceleration with amazing top speed and a 17lb gun mixed with very good depression.

T-34 85M I assume you have it like everyone else ;-)

WZ-131

Type 64

T20

T71

AMX 12t

Skoda T40 / T25 (?)

Hellcat

AMX ELC

T34-85

Type 64 is probably the best one out there. It's crazy good. I am not sure what it's dpm with 5 perk crew and consumables but it basically decompose other tanks.

No Cromwell in that list, so list is considered null and void

I have mixed feelings about Cromwell B. Generally speaking it's worse than type 64 in every single way. The thing i particularly dislike is size, view range and aiming time.
