Which one of those premium tanks is better? (Strv S1, T34 or M4A1 Rev)

Really depends on which playstyle suits you the best tbh..

If i very you i'd watch videos on all three tanks and see which one you like.

Strv has good pen against those t10 tanks you mostly face.

If the MM actually worked, the ravioli would be best choice.

Just don't get the T34. These days half of the games are over before you get to see your first enemy tank with that slow turd. And the other half are over before you are done aiming^^

Rev is a fun sniper with awesome shell velocity and nice alpha.

If you want to make more credits, get the Rev. I'd personally buy the Strv S1 because that's my playstyle but I wouldn't even look at the T34.

Personal preferences though.

I don't know how much credits the STRV S1 makes as it deals the least damage and has the most expensive shell at ~1140 credits per pop, but it's the most immune to MM due to the 288 pen.

T34 is bad. It's so bad that it shouldn't even be mentioned.

I wouldn't get any of these 3 unless you really need a crew trainer:

T34: a very slow tank in everything: moves slow, turns very slow, aims long, loads long - the high pen is nice in theory but the horrible gunhandling more than offsets that - for every shot you pen more (than a "normal" 225 pen would) you'll have 3 that fly into landscape/armour strongpoints. Also keep in  mind that while the T34 has decent pen for a T8 it still needs gold against the T10 HT-monsters like Maus or T5HT just like everyone else.

Strv S1: yes, it is a decent TD. But that is it - you have to camp and farm. If your team is too good (or bad) you'll barely be able to make damage, likewise you totally depend on the MM for maps with long fiering ranges.

Rev: Solid tank for tier 8, however with the current MM it seems too much heavyly armoured enemies where its APCR really stuggles (and the heat round isn't that good).

The only T8-Prems that i would currently recommend are Defender (the armour works even when lowtier and the gun can deal with those 3 tier 10s) and Scorpion G (the gun handels anything it encounters and turret + mobility allow you to adapt to whatever the MM comes up with).

Difficult choice of the three the Revalorise ammo is cheap pen decent shell velocity great.

Downside is that you will never bounce a shell so do not get hit.

Strv is tricky to play good players do very well so if you can master it its a good choice I think its very map dependent you need space to stay hidden and snipe and time to get into and out of siege mode.

T34 is all about the Turret finding a position where you can deal the damage without getting shot in the hull.

ROF is slow aim time average but pen and damage good.

Rev will earn more credits due to low ammo cost.

Strv will deal damage to anything usually without any premium ammo use.

T34 oldest of the three but can still be good in the current game but you need to use terrain.

I would suggest trying them on the test server its still running and I think 20k gold they give you will be enough to get 2 of them

Stop factoring in shell costs, as the earning potential for each tank is different; it only makes sense if you're missing or bouncing shots - which the S1 doesn't do that often.

Even if every T8 premium had the same base earnings, it's not that easy to figure out. Revalorisé probably spots what it shoots at, because the pen 'forces' it closer to the enemy. S1 can shoot at will at higher-tier tanks with standard ammo. It's more likely to do a bit more damage in a pinch, which seems to be the primary governor for credit income - even if it does struggle on a lot of maps, it doesn't have to flank to pen shots.

(You can also make an argument for tanks with good viewrange, while the Rev has 390m base VR, it's too slow to get to the proper spots. Everything adds up.)

In the end it's more important which tank fits your playing style and what you find fun. S1 can be fun if you don't camp the base. Revalorisé is generally less bothersome to play, however. Generally I'd take a fun tank that makes less credits over a tank that makes more but is crap to play.

Edit: The S1 is, IIRC, the highest earning tank on VBaddict. That's supposedly biased toward good players, and I'd expect the S1 to be even better for 'average' players. From my very limited selection of replays, it looks like the S1 compensates fairly well for the 'long-range combat' by being able to do better in higher-tier games.
