I discovered it by accident when I started playing the tier 9 USA M53/55 arty in hope of completing those T55A missions. I am dealing a lot of damage, which I did not expect after the arty nerf. As I mostly play lower tiers nowadays, this is improving my average damage stat but I am worried about the moral aspect of this. Should I just forget about the deplorable arty missions and play other tanks classes more again? Have you been in a situation like this? What was your solution?

Why would anyone care about the overall avg damage anyway. And if you get higher average damage in your tier 9 arty than in your regular tier 9 tanks then either you're really good arty player or really, really bad player.

As you disturb Divine justice, you must attempt to restore said justice. I recommend paying penance by counter-battery fire and spreading the word of the counter-scumbagging lord.

Morals and WoT don't seem to go hand in hand, keep playing arty. I to have rediscovered arty and decided to regrind the USA and British SPG lines.

The solution is.... Keep up the good work:)

All kinds of tomatoes. They often tell me that they are better players compared to me, because their overall average damage stat is higher.

They completely ignore everything else, because... you know... Europe still has a massive education problem.

Well, i recently like to play my horrible arty 212a, i dont know why, but doing 3.5k damage isnt that hard anymore and if the map isnt some townmap i can easily reach the dmg.

The only moral aspect? Then i read our clan chat i often read something like "fu.ck you arty!!"... >.> well, its not my problem

So you mostly play lower tiers and you discovered that if you play tier 9 you can increase your average damage. Huh?

Try playing Skoda T50. It's pretty hard to do less than 2-3k, you literally press and hold your LMB 3 times and here you go.

How are you finding that SPG so far?  I couldn't get the stock gun to work at all (despite usually preferring ROF over Alpha).  The 'proper' gun seems very good and now the SPG feels easy to play.

From your words, it seems that your average damage was very poor anyway, and perhaps playing higher level vehicles of any kind might increase your stats. Unsure what you mean by "the moral aspect of this". What do you mean by it?

The stock gun seemed OK but the top gun is better of course. Besides the potential damage increase, the stronger splash is helpful.

Yeah I think that's the major point I was overlooking initially, a lot of the damage is now actually made up of splash (despite the nerfs).  I did a fair amount of XP for the Tiger mission using the M53/55.

With this SPG (and some reasonable RNG/MM) you should have no problems doing all the SPG missions.
