How is it fair that this thing can chase other light tanks down and one shot them, that's absolutely retarded.

And it encourages bot play, T49 derp players will just sit in a corner to wait to have something to shot at, instead of going to spot they just want that oneshot and  think to themselves "Lulz xD, thats so funny lulzzzzzzz".

I can't believe people complain about the Japanese heavies but not this utter menace. Now that it's power to weight and hull traverse is much better than before this piece of crapcan come in derp and [edited]get away with it, it's [edited].

If it doesn't get removed at least couple it with far more sluggish modules, as it used to be.

90mm has more DPM anyway. Not used my derp since the LT changes.  My T49 has 2700 with the derp, and 2900 with the 90mm. Ten times more fun with that gun tbh, as you can out DPM just about anything in a 1 vs 1 if I have to.

Then again it's a derp. So most do 300 on a hit and run anyway.

Try it out, you'll see why it's fair. And no, T49 by itself, doesn't encourage bot play.

Dunno, you tell us. Must have really sucked being forced to play all those 325 battles in yours.

2,148 games in derp T-49, 359 in derp sheridan.

You will understand it's balanced when you aim and aim and aim and aim and boom ! *miss*

You will understand when you go after a scout and miss him completely from point blank range and then you get farmed for your whole amount of HP until you reload again

You will understand when a complete lack of armor  can get you rekt in seconds ( and the atrocious gun makes you unable to fight back )

You will understand when the average dmg ~350  is very low considering your reload and the alpha of every other t9 gun

You will understand when mounting cola is pretty much mandatory for this tank to work ( BOTH as scout and as dmg dealer)

You will understand when every time you shoot sixth goes off

*protip  T-49's that play safe are not noobs, noobs are those who rush a light  shoot it and then die in seconds. I mostly avoid light tank encounters because of the points above - too risky

I liked the T49 when it was a tier 8 LT and the derp was the only option. The 90mm gun at the time had only HEAT as a high pen option, the other one was poor pen HE.
People got used to the derp, trained crew specifically for that and got used to it so they play it with it.

Also, since the LT change, I see a lot more light tanks sniping or brawling side by side with the mediums/heavies. It is no longer a spotting class, so what do you expect ?

let's remove any other derp except KV-2, so people will understand that derpguns are a russian feature.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...........HAHAHAHAHA.......................No!

It already has an effective aimtime of 6+ seconds due to the terrible dispersion values *AND* the effective DPM is around 600. If you lose against a T49 in any other scout you are playing your tank wrong because once he's fired, you can kill it without any issues.

Oneshotting anything is as rare as scoring an ammo-rack blowup on any other tank, happens once every 30 battles or so.

You can either sit and snipe heavies indeed or you can literally drive up to enemy light tanks (including all the apparent risks involved in doing so) and try to shotgun them in the face from point blank range. And even then you most likely do 300 damage or miss completely.

T49 is absolutely fine as a light tank, it's unique and a great stress relief vehicle.

Complaining about the T49 is just as pointless as complaining about autoloaders, if you are stupid enough to be killed by one it's your own damn mistake. Look at the minimap next time and look at what's happening around you.

Pretty much this:

Why would you even play it with the 90mm? You have the Blackdog for that or any of the other scout lines with normal guns (that do it better). It's like playing the KV2 with the 107 back in the days.

And if you truly played it only with the 90mm then I suggest you try and clock up 100 battles with the 152mm and then come back here. If you then still think it's overpowered I would be surprised.

He didn't say it's overpowered, he said it's dumb and bad for the gameplay.

And rightly so.

HE based guns have no place in competitive game.

Neither does RNG, overbuffing armour, broken premium tanks, premium ammo etc. yet here we are.

And of all these things the T49 is the least important "problem" anyway.

Its a tank with a unique playstyle much like the ELC used to have and as such its good for the game.

The 90mm is less fun than the derp but probably a more sensible choice.

Yes you can damage any tank and oneshot smaller tanks but its terrible at anything else.

Try to hit anything at range with that aim time and of course if you do chace another tank and muff the shot you are dead.

THat logic is just false,

the deathstar is unique, the wtf E100 was unique, but they are in no way good for the game.
