no new maps, few new crap hd maps that I'm sure 99% of us could live without if given new maps to play.

Indeed , we want new maps , not a reworking process of all existing maps into HD , because that takes WG way to long to accomplish .

So if reworked maps in hd is a highlight for you as stated in the article , u have to realize thats not so much the case in the players community .

I see it as a waste of time and energy that should have been putted into creating new maps .

So you get a new render engine for maps, can we finally see bigger maps for higher tiers? And not get thrown into tiny boxes called: Pilsen, Mines, Ensk, Paris etc. Put a tier cap like Widepark on it. You create t10 light tanks with the live stats for what reason exactly? Give some room to move lel. Mountain Corridor looks kewl but thats about it, same corridors still.

At this point, i would be happy if they would bring back the maps they've removed. The old ones were far more fun to play, despite the claims that they would favor one side or another (which would have been easily fixed with the removal, the addition or the modification of some terrain parts). The game's economy is down the drain (remember when you could farm creds without a prem account or prem tank?!), the gold spam and the constant need of consumables makes the grind through the tiers even more obnoxious, especially for the new players.

 

But, hey...we get HD maps and new premium tanks....And, yeah, nothing exciting (at least for us). All the excitement was in the mind of the devs and their so-called "community contributors". I had better shows to watch at gamescom, with actually interesting announcements. WG's show wasn't one of them. I have expected the same broken record, with some extra added, so people would believe that they have something that matters. And, of course, there wasn't.

As a relatively recent player, I don't.  Candidly, I'm not surprised you can't any more.  In the end, WG needs revenue or it will collapse.  If you could play the entire game without ever needing a premium account and make enough credits without a premium tank, that would be the equivalent of WG commmitting hara-kiri.  As it is, you can pretty much play the entire game up to and including the mid tiers without spending money on it, which I think is rather amazing.

Here I agree.  HD maps will be a nine day wonder.  I would also prefer they'd put their effort into new maps or rebalancing old ones and bringing them back.  I thought WG's announcements this year were rather lacklustre.

Meh, nothing new nor special. I´d rather take new maps and tanks instead of HD maps. Its like with an old girlfriend, it doesnt matter how much she does makeup or looks good, she still just the old girlfriend...
