well guys i have strv 103B and i have listened many times red liner.. i want to ask wargaming that how i can overcome this nonsense form idiots who dont know how to play paper armor and heavily armored machines... we have tier IX strv 103 0 and tier X strv 103B with same armor..
even a tier 8 like is3 pens 103B easily on any spot lower or upper with standar AP rounds.. and tier IX and X have more big guns then a tier 8 tank.. so i want wargaming to increase armor slightly better like 45 MM currently 40 mm so it should be tricky if u are fighting face to face with a tier 8 ... not 9 and 10 which pen easily. and dont talk about angles please .. a 122mm gun does not see angles when u have 40 mm armor and when u play in tier 10 u always face guns with more than 120mm shells .. i have learned a lot about angles  and i m not best player but what ever angle u do u r going to b penned..
i know i will get answers that turn off chat = problem solved but it is not that all u have to do .. thx if any WG staff reply///

Edit: sorry didn't read last line (which btw contains a good solution, probably even the same one you will get, if any, from WG)

While the mechanics and features of the Swedish TDs lend themselves to redline sniping, they're not limited to that. OP's stats don't suggest that he actually does much wrong (though his spotted vehicles are .36/game in the 103B), so it's probably more whiny examples of the Dunning-Kruger effect rather than direct misplay.

First off, the 103B does have a fair bit of spaced armor or simply plates thicker than 40mm on the upper part. With proper positioining, it should be rather effective. Take a look at the armor model, for instance:

https://tanks.gg/tan...cs=is-3&vm=live

Furthermore, the low profile does make ridgefighting a possibility, just don't keep popping up in the same spot. Even a S1 can be usable this way, and the amount of <90mm gun that thing faces isn't greater than what <120mm the 103-0/103B faces.

There's a huge difference between literal redline sniping (waiting for the enemy to come into cap) and support fire from range. Distance is not a concern for how usable you are, but rather when you do damage.

That aside, blaming the last tank alive for "playing passively and hiding" is rather common. It's the easiest way for some dumbass to explain (to himself) why he sucked that game or died in a useless position without any support. Passive TD gameplay (four TDs sitting on a hill next to the base and covering half the map) is also a problem, which again leads many to automatically blame a TD. Sometimes it's called for, sometimes not.

Yep armour is wafer thin, even so it can be incredibly bouncy, so play accordingly.

Don't go 'face to face' it usually means a quick exit back to garage.

Use it's strengths:

Incredible camo

Great gun depression, peek a boo over crests works exceedingly well.

Fast firing and aiming gun, use it as a sniper this is what it excels at.

Got a good rate of speed

I rather like mine as it is. BTW don't often get abuse in chat and well tend to ignore unless got a ' pants on head' moment then first to admit it.

But if some have yet to try the T8 to T10 Swedish TD line they can be somewhat perplexed as to your play style. Yes folks it's called siege mode.... Give it a go u will see what I mean:)

I managed my only tier IX Kolobanov medal in the STRV 103-0, and it took a good few games to adapt from the UDES to the slower relocation and the fact it can bounce shells.

This definitely correct, and something you learn with the UDES as it's so fast. What I need to learn more are the locations on the maps where you can relocate as your team push or withdraw that maximise this tank.

Trickiest aspect I find is the ease with which players track them and leave you defenseless.

Who needs armor, when the damn thing is so invisible, that you dont spot it except if you ram it by accident.

Strv 103B has far superior armor compared to Strv 103-0. I suggest you look at the collision model of a tank before you talk about things that can and cannot penetrate it.

As far as play style is concerned, if situation allows it 103B is more than capable of fighting at the front line, besides 103B has the best camo on T10 which allows it to not red line camp all the time, you can pretty much pick any bush and be invisible while with other TDs you need to be at least 400m away and have plenty of bushes in front of you to stay invisible.

I dunno. at tier 10 peoples view ranges become insanely stupid.

my weeb son you have lots to learn

dont compare s1/udes to strv 103b, 103b is 1000  times better.

udes might have better camo but it gets humiliated by strv 103b in view range, dpm and accuracy.

strv can stay unspotted a lot.

STRV is perfect the way it is. I hope it never get's nerfed tbh. You get a very, very accurate gun, good depression fast and reverses just as fast meaning you can set up anywhere very quickly and if it hits the fan you can scuttle away. It has good camo and good veiw range. seriously this tnak is so good in so many areas. I think very weak side armour and armour that can be over matched is a fair trade for what you get. Im sure others would agree.

Huh. for someone who tells me i have allot to learn...

103b only has 10 more view range than UDES and S1, also it has the same accuracy as S1 and LESS accurate than UDES.. seems you have allot to learn, my weeb father.

1. Learn to write in a coherent way.

2. You don't have to sit back so far you get no shots. Soft tds should be 2nd line but should be in a place  where they can shoot. Not wait in the back, do nothing for 5minutes, hope the team dies and then farm the loss. This is bad gameplay

3. Is3 can't pen the Strb-b outside of a few tiny spots. It can pen the t9 strv.

Remember that Wargaming wanted to change he over-match system when the S-tanks were introduced.

Since that had to be cancelled, it is not more than fair to add a little armour (I'd say going from 40mm to 43mm is enough) as compensation.

If the t9 bounced also the RU and Ger guns it would be broken.

I m not here to talk language style or writing strb b. I was just telling what i faced so far and np if wg is leaving it as it is. And IS 3 penetrates it all the time i m not lying

And it is so far best AT in the game... I don't know why people start yelling on a post rather giving suggestions if u don't like any post leave it..  And i have fought 12 tanks including wz 1 4 T30 Obj 140 on front line being supported by 1 t9 and 2 t8 tanks and killed 9 total.. I love it being front liner and this AT is good but i was just saying t9 and t10 having same armor i e 40 mm is not a good idea. Rather a slight difference would be better like 43 to 45 mm i m not asking for 50 mm.. It is an idea which may b right or wrong... But my point was at tier 8 tanks should struggle hard to pen it like IS 3 or skorpion G which shot from more than 500 meters and pen it like it is a udes or S1 rather Strv B. No offense

You'd wonder why people are moaning about the E25 so loudly and think the 103B is fine
