Well, the question is kind of not clear.
Would i want a tier8 prem similar to the current line? No
Would i want a tier8 prem similae to the reworked line you proposed? Sure

Whilst I appreciate the effort you put into the Jap line, I feel like we don't currently need a Jap tier 8 heavy premium. Been crying out for a Brit one for ages (not like there are lots to choose from...) Hell even a US TD would be good.

Then again, it's better to have a Jap tank than another BS made up, copy and paste russian medium or heavy again. :sceptic:

Brits definitely need both T8 premium TD and T8 premium heavy, no doubt. Americans also have billions of options for T8 premium TD and should have a premium TD permanently in the tech tree. At least put the M56 scorpion to the tech tree.

I agree those, especially British HT and TD premiums should be a priority (especially now that they change (buff) the lines so they will be more popular).

Agreed. We need a British and American Tier VIII TD, and a British premium heavy tank as well. Wait, there is that Tier VII HT, which kinda stinks.

For the Japanese... hm. As long as it's done well.

It's more that I don't trust Wargaming with making balanced superheavy tanks, so I instead went with the "entirely different tank" option.

I would like a fairly mobile heavy tank.

Maybe similar to the O-I Experimental, especially if it gets removed according to your proposal. A Tier VIII O-I Experimental that shifts around at 50-60 km/h would be hilarious and you know it.

While its armor would be paper, and its gun would likely be similar to the O-Ho's 10cm top gun, but yet very different:

Caliber: 100mm

APHE: 330 alpha, 215 penetration, 510 shell cost

APDS: 220 alpha, 330 penetration, 760 shell cost

HE Kai: 440 alpha, 76mm penetration, 330 shell cost

How funny, because one of my potential options (which is my personal favorite too) is actually is more or less like "O-I Exp on steroids". It even is semi-historical, though as the tank would be made it would be half-fabrication, but it still has historical basis so its something.

So you want more of these, very extra-ordinary designed masterpieces?

Fine, here you go. I'll name it O-Slut. You happy now?

Indeed, that was my line of thinking too. And it's funny to blast around with a very fast tank that weighs 100 tons, especially if it keeps up with Cromwells and Light Tanks.

The gun I devised, while it has AP, APCR and HE ammo, does not use any premium ammo too, so it could perform as a testbed for a new mechanic involving premium ammunition.

Where does that weight come from? It's still the O-I Exp hull or similar - I only really added a way bigger engine and the Tier VIII gun opposed to the Tier V gun, which has the same caliber. I would add an inch of armor to the front mostly to keep out 155 and 170mm HE but no more.

Its not exactly an O-I Exp, just similar gameplay-wise.

There apparently was an O-I mockup that had a single 12 cylinder sub marine engine instead of the 2x Kawasaki engines like the normal O-I had. This was mentioned in the same documents that contained information about Type 4/5.

Other than some information regarding its cooling system nothing else is known. Assuming its mentioned among with Type 4/5, its late-war design most probably. No one knows what it is but it could be first steps of improving the O-I.

With this in mind, I kept the same armor as the O-I (150mm flat is still weak for its type, more or less weakest HT armor in its tier excluding wannabe mediums like 50 100). This results in the heavier weight. There are still some logical, speculative design differences (like no miniturrets, given the fact at the end of war all nations including Japan pretty much agreed that miniturret concept sucked (hence why Type 4/5 are single turretted)) that makes it bit lighter (miniturrets increases mass quite alot). Armament is undecided, though. It has the most likely historical gun (15cm) for now but it will very likely change. There are quite a few options.

I would like a premium T8 Jap HT, but based on the current line, sadly there's no option for that :(

1) Buy a new tank (other than those with built in camo)

2) Refrain from adding any emblems naming it.

3) Ta da! Nameless!
