I was recently going trough this thread and the data:

http://forum.worldof...__fromsearch__1

And I noticed that despite EU having less players than RU, EU has generaly more players with more 3 marks. It also has more than NA and ASIA.  I know th RU data is 4 months older but that still doesnt account for such a massive difference.

So it seems EU is more obsessed with 3 marks than the other servers and I am not sure why.

Does anyone have a good reason for it?

if you're an old player who already grinded all the tanks you want, there's nothing else to do in this game

It can be considered one of the three ways to measure how good you are - alongside wn8 and winrate - as 3 gunmarks require you to do consistently well in your tank for a long stretch of time basically stating "I've mastered this tank".

All I care is getting at least 1 Mark of Excellence in tanks that I'm going to keep. If I'm just grinding thru a tank and I'm going to sell it afterwards - I do not give a flying "kat" if I Ace it or if I got a MoE or not with it. 3 Marks is a bit too much and unrealistic for me. I'm a 2k WN8 scrub, who in general plays like a 2k WN8 scrub. Prolly won't end up having an Obj. 260 and I'm fine with that. I don't want to play a single tank for long sessions and alter my gamestyle to suit the farming required, nor to tap the "2" key in order to appear more "qualified", in order to get them Marks.

Respect to those that do however, as I know it takes quite the effort (a lot more then just tapping the "2" key). Special respect to skill4ltu for owning over 300 3-Marked tanks.

No idea if this makes any sense at all but the number off players on de RU server is way higher perhaps making it harder ?

I just got my first third gunmark and it feels nice to have something not everybody can get.

Russians are communists, they share the gunmarks. We in the EU want to always be the best. We are capitalists in the purest form.

I got three marks on my FIrefly and Crusader because I like those tanks, because I like them I got quite good (compared to the average) when I play them. I didn't set out to three mark them although it was something to push for once I got above 90% on them, but now I have I can bask in the glory that having three gun marks bestows upon me. :teethhappy:

Russians yolo too much to get gun marks.

NA players have too fat fingers to play properly.

Asians only try to farm gold when playing WoT.

EU players have poor self esteem so they need validation in form of gun marks to feel better.

Hmh good question but hard to answer.

Maybe EU players are a bit more wealthy and capable of paying good players decent money to get them their third mark?

Or maybe it really is the fun to play argument. The entire game becomes more and more "fun to play" as it most likely follows the Russian markets demand. Might be very much possible.

It is even cheaper to buy three gunmarks on any tank than buy a fort knox ...

Are MOE damage requirements the same across all servers or are they set independently?

Western decadence?

I was wondering if it was just statistically easier to get them on the EU server due to player numbers, and the number of good players. But then you also looked at the NA server as well?

I also remembered on vbaddict that they had maps with some sort of skill distribution. Not sure about the accuracy, but it's a start.

Here's the map for number of players.

Spoiler

If you work on the assumption that unicums are going to be the ones with more three marks than us plebs, now look at the change when you overlay the data by "quantity of unicums".

Spoiler

So maybe it is true? EU has a greater number of unicums in proportion to our players and so it's reasonable to expect us to have more three marked tanks.

Edit: Alternatively, it's just more unicums on the EU server are aware of vbaddict and upload their data, so who knows?

A desire to prove something may be the reason here. Or maybe some people are so bored that they have nothing better to do. I have a friend who keeps acquiring MoE on his tanks while personally I couldn't care less about them. I think it would be very boring to keep playing one tank again and again just to get them plus the only thing that matters to me is winning the battle, MoE are completely irrelevant.
