And I have to say, wow.

I finally understand how big the power jump is between tier VIII and IX.

While I did get the T-54 first, 320 alpha is not that new for me, but when I finally unlocked the M62, the T-10 changed my gameplay completley.

I'm finally dangerous, players now tend to be more wary of my gun(the prev gun had pre 9.18 hummel ac), and finally, my damage now goes up considerably.

Just wanted to share this discovery, and I cannot wait to get more 9s!

(Also, I have the OBJ 704 and WT auf PZ IV unlocked, which one should I go for?)

Thanks for your attention!

Yes, unlocking modules makes tanks better.

The reason behind this is that people often are more scared of high alpha instead of high dpm. If they see that you can shoot away 1/3th of their HP in one shot they will peek less fast in you then when you can do only 1/6th (for example).

The object 704 and WT auf PZ IV are two totally different tanks. The choice is in your own hands since it is a complete different playstyle.

  • object 704: high alpha, pretty good frontal armour and is russian. Mobility wise not bad either.
  • WT auf PZ IV: high alpha or high dpm (more fun with high dpm gun since this one is more accurate), no armor at all and has a turret.

Myself would go for Wt auf PZ IV since I hate turretless tanks. If you like those I would go for object 704 instead

Yes, T9 is indeed a 'sweet spot' for multiple reasons, including the fact that many T9 vehicles are rather good.

WTIV or 704 is like picking plague or cholera, but if one of the diseases has a turret, that's likely the one you should go for.

704 is probably fine if you think sitting at the redline and playing onehanded is the ultimate form of WoT. Yes, the 704 can brawl and trade shots at will, but it's extremely clunky. The armor isn't much to rely on either, the HP pool is the main feature over the ISU in my opinion. Works allright in platoons as an assault gun, but can't play aggressively without support.

That's why tier IX is actually my "new" and favourite "spot" in this game.

You get good apha damage guns with decent penetration values.

While we are comparing tier IX tanks, ST-1 or WZ-111 model 1-4?

wz-111 1-4 is the better tank of the 2 because of its mobility. both it and the t-10 play similar.
