At higher tiers, you’ll encounter good alpha and firing rates that make these vehicles stand out. While their damage-per-shot is not the best in the league, they have enough firepower to seriously hurt their opponents.

Good alpha, but damage per shot is not the best?

Great alpha, same crew layout along the tree, good view range for their tiers, good camo for tier, an OP premium tier VIII to join them, I'm sold.

So.... they are mediocre? YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Not the best" is usually not literal. It is usually an understated way of saying "bad." Even taken literally it still comes across as "They are ok, I guess"

Very similar to Russian TDs, tried T10 on CT thought it played like a SU152.

Nevertheless will grind them out, eventually....

Not the best in their league is a pretty good way of saying it IMHO... It's good but there's other Td's with higher alpha, seems pretty clear to me...

Some of my best friends are Chinese and they are deeply insulted by Chinese TD low damage per shot.

Indeed. I am sure that every tank is good at everything in its own 'special' way.

The Chinese TD is OK, but what about WZ 111. The gun is never improved. The penetration remained the same 175

Expect the alpha isnt mediocre, they even said they DO have high alpha right before that. Just not "the" best.

Quite unnecessary to say both, yeah, but still. They have high alpha after tier 7.

Again you have problem understanding what you read and assume things that have not been even hinted the sllightest.

Quite a pattern of you doing so can be seen in here forums.

I'm not sure what is wrong with your ability to read, but the sentences you posted are pretty easy to grasp. Not the best alpha for all td's, but still good and a good rate of fire...

So if someone says to you "This new restaurant has good food, but not the best" you wouldn't be confused as to why they added "not the best" and maybe ask them which restaurants they consider better?

That's not what it says though is it? It says "not the best in its league"... Which in this case explains exactly what it says and what they mean, good alpha but not the best of all Td's... I really don't understand why you struggle with this.

For people who know the stats already, they don't need to say anything at all. Those people know the stats.

Ok, then. "Their team is good, but not the best in the league" Bet on them? Or not?

It's not the best English. They describe the same thing three times in two sentences.

good

not the best

enough

Could have been clearer. Could also have been worse

Probaly because of the way the phrase is generally used. So going back to food. If some says the food was good then from the context you can imply that it wasn't the best food they've ever had otherwise that's what the would have said in the first place. If the say it's not the best that implies, in a polite way, that it wasn't very good.

If someone when asked how's their day been and they reply I've had better you wouldn't think that they might be having a good day would you. Phrases shouldn't be taken too literally otherwise you'll get confused as to the meaning of cheap at half the price.

For [edited]sake man, what are you trying to get at here? It is a simple fact, the alpha is good, but there are other tanks with higher alpha, but these have a good rate of fire. That is exactly what it says and is pretty easy to understand, I didn't know any stats about the chinese td's and these sentences explain more than enough. Good alpha, but not crazy high, and a good RoF. How you can try to make some kind of strange point about this is absolutely beyond me.
