Number of shells on Grand Battles

If the number of tanks is doubled....why the number of shells isnt doubled too?

 

Deathstars should have 24 shells, not 12 anymore!

Ehm, number of shells is doubled, or do they remove the ammunition from 50% of the tanks?

Because the battle still lasts 15 minutes at most, and you still need to pick the targets just like you do in random battles?

The design brief of the Deathstar was that it could oneshot any IS tank from a kilometer away while frontally bouncing their fire until they got within half a kilometer.  It wasn't designed to fight off the entire iron curtain.
