I mean, i knew the tank was good, allways seen people doing well in it...

but seriously WG, perhaps its a little bit too much OP, i got it because i am now grinding the chinese light tanks techtree

currently playing the 59 16, and seriously, in my first game ever in the type 64, this happens...

http://wotreplays.co...e/3804096#stats

I went out of ammunition because of that ELC player, i missed about 10 shots, iwithout that, i would easly kill that SU player in the end

and possibly the churchill too...

Its absurdly good, how come? the power weight seems lacking compared to other tanks, but if i am not mistaken, i did nearly 73 kph at the beggining of the game rushing to that infamous (kill all the hill wanna climbers bush)

perhaps they should nerf it... my crew isnt even very good, i only have sixt sense in the commander, my view range is 500 meters with optics and telescope... its really a filthy machine... way too much Op for its tier, and unfair really

ithe gun seems the same of the T67, but the tank have much better mobility and somehow "hellcat" flavor when it comes to bush shooting...

...

im gona take a shower now...

Yes, that's one of the best tier 6 LT. Seen a lot of them fighting for resourses. I don't consider it OP. Never the less it's a target that can't be ignored.

It suffers for HE, if I remember well...

WG during 9.18: "hey lets effectively downtier it by giving it normal tier 6 MM and then give it V.stab, whats the worse that could happen?"

Indeed. It suffers against HE really hard. Even in my Ke-Ho I take 5 HE shells purely to punish these things, because it's fun to kill them in ten seconds. Sometimes they are dead before they realize what has happened.

Sure, the Type 64 is fast, and it has huge DPM for a Tier VI Light, but it's light armor means it gets punished by everybody who knows to shoot them with HE.

And with the Ke-Ho example above - the Type 64 is not the only LT in that MM that has brutal DPM.

It does. A lot.

T-34-85 / T-34-85M / Rudy have especially effective HE shells tier for tier. 300 dmg with 44 pen. It's enough to two-shoot Type 64 in the span of about 5 seconds.

Are you serious? the lack of armor of a light tank in the hands of a solid player will never be a problem...

the DPM is way too much OP in the type 64, you get 10 degrees of gun depression, 500 meters view range, top speed of 70...

seriously is this a joke or what??

i wonder how this will be when i get brothers in arms and full crew with camorating perks.... it will be pure trollege in open maps like that...

It will be pure epic ... IF you get open map.

The thing is that most people have no clue what they are doing in that thing and you know that just as well as I do.

A good player is very dangerous in a Type 64. A bad player... not so much.

But the HE thing has a point though - there's lack of armor and lack of armor. There are many tanks that have no armor, but this thing takes that to a whole new level - at least you can't shoot HE at a Cromwell or Chi-To like you can at this thing, Anyone who happens to be in the right spot to take advantage of that can deliver a brutal spanking to this tank.

I never understood why premium lights had to get +2. IMO they should have kept the old scout MM. As that's what they were balanced for, not to be top tier. Then it's nasty indeed.

And I suspect most do rather well in it. As I've not aced mine in ages. As first class on 1300 XP for a tier 6 is rather high.

...though honestly it doesn't seem to be ruining T6 half as much as I'd thought. It's overperforming a lot, still.

Well yes and no. But then again I'm still amazed that it's still in the tech tree. Considering how fast they removed, or refused to sell the other LT premiums after 9.18.

I haven't yet had the pleasure of playing it, I'm kinda holding off purchasing it in case they put the Type 62 in the store for a bit (I'm on that Cobra 6 Type 62 hype wagon) , but I am of the opinion that all of the mid tier lights are incredibly dirty if handled by a competent player.

For me it is the AMX 12t. My overall WN8 is 1497 and in the AMX 12t it is 3979. The damage farm is real in a scout once you have rudimentary map knowledge and awareness.

1 good game=OP , good logic,

Type 64 is indeed very good , but not op because mediocre to bad  accuracy and low shell count and not good camo

Yeah, kind of thought it was destined for 'special' status as well - free with the purchase of 30,5k gold, costs €80 and an arm or a leg (which I'm guessing is why there's still so many playing arty/LOS-clickers).

It's Wargaming, though, they probably forgot about it, or will wait to remove it until it gets to E25-levels of infamy.

The OP'ness of the Type-64 was at it's very highest just after the mm buff it received, since then less so because everybody on the team now recognises the danger they are and targets them. And the gun can be pretty troll at sniping distances so the sweet spot is rushing in and assassinating an enemy before anybody can react, but it tends to be a short term plan as not many Type-64's get to the end of a battle. And the acceleration and agility isn't up to that of a regular light tank. The real sneaky light is the Type-62, still the case that not many players know what it is because of the rarity, it has it all, a great gun and some armour and does all those light tank things but on steroids.

Hardest t6 tank to mark. Took me way too long for t6 tank...

But man is it fun to play. Almost doeant care about t8s as it's almost always hidden.
