So which are the best scouts by tier? Before 9.18 I had t37, bulldog and ltwt to scout when we play with friends team battles up to tier 8 and I was doing rather fine in this role. However things have changed a lot since then.

Tier 6 I guess it is type 62 the Chinese premium. What else should do good in this tier?

Tier 7,8,9 and 10?

I have Cromwell, bulldog, ltb, ltwt, t49 and amx1390 but all of them seem to be under performing from what I am used to.

I am thinking of buying the Chinese premium and perhaps grind some Chinese light tanks. I am thinking on getting Batchats medium and deciding between 140 and t62a. But I am very unsure what to grind right now.

What would you people advice me. Consider the noon factor in me. I am a low skill player.

You do realize the Type 62 is a tier 7 right? Surely you must mean the Type 64.

heathen.

Oh and as far as tier 10 scouts go the T-100 is by far the best, even though it's still miles behind t10 mediums. The size and speed make for some ridiculous positions being safe to spot from so you can creep closer to the enemy than a batchat ever could. That said tier 10 lights are dogshit and you might as well save the effort of grinding and buying them to get a tank that can reliably influence battles because they aren't horrendous.

I mean, current IS-7 isn't as hyper mobile as the T-100(by FAR the best LT), but it does do 58km/h quite easily on top of having the same DPM with a gun that has 60% more alpha and it has 900hp more on top of the armor. Basically you could just be playing a heavy that can reach medium tank positions over a lightning fast light tank that can only be useful if it has other tanks shooting whatever it lights up on the 5 maps that playstyle actually has any use on.

is the T21 the best tier 6 non-premium spotter?

Not by a long shot. Way too bad camo rating.

I'd give the nod to the 59-16.

the 2% difference in camo values can't be what makes the "long shot" ?

and about view range, the T21 got 380 + a radio operator while the 59-16 has 360 with no radio operator, so that's approximatively 32 meters difference.

Smaller profile too, and the camo value difference only grows with the crew getting better.

And lets not forget you can actually have sit awareness and recon on the same crewman :P

Yeah I am probably getting t100 some day, but not willing to pay for the sheridan or amx 13105. I liked your IS7 is a better LT than the LTs and I completely agree. I get more assists on my IS3 than my lttb or bulldog. All I need to do is go to where the lights and mediums fight line and press W and tadam spots incomming.

So t6 is type64, vk28, 59-16, t21 all are good to competent in the role

t7 is t71 or the amx

t8 is the german prem or wz 132

t9 the amx 1390, I would like to ask if the BC25t AP is good scout at t9

t10 is either bc 25 t and russ mediums. Regarding the russ mediums which one is more noob friendly object 140 or t62a.

Oh and what is the standard build for these tanks? Vents, optics, rammer? With Camo, BiA and gun handling skills?

So far it seems I am getting the type 64 prem to grind crew for the wz 132 to fix my t6 and t8 positions and perhaps buy the t71 or the amx1357 to fix the t7 position. Selling lttb, bulldog, t49, ltwt. And then strenghtening t9 and t10 scouts.

I rather have loaders taking in that job (radio operator), as commanders have already a huge set of useful skills.

Most light tanks above tier 5 are actually very enjoyable, the only real stinker is the T8 Batchat because the clip is a bit crap.

Personal favourites:

T6: Type64

T7: WZ-131 (want to get Type62 when it comes on sale)

T8: WZ-132 / Blackdog

T9: AMX 13 90 & T49 for the memes with 152mm

T10: Don't have, but AMX 13 105 from the Sandbox server.

Rather liking the T8 Bat, clip could do with another shell (+2 shells would be really nice) but so far having loads of fun playing it.

Only if the reload would stay exactly the same. It's better to have a shorter reload than it is to have larger clip potential.

That is why the 13 90 is infinitely better now than it was, why the Lorraine is better than the AMX 100 and why the Skoda's are so successful.

I like the T8 Batchat as a vehicle itself, the mobility and the camo, but the gun can't carry it properly in anything a part from assassinations on stragglers.

T5: ELC: Yes it's far from it's old glory. But still gets the job done with spotting and damage, and is still sneaky. Pen is still way more then most tier 5 LT's that mostly are on sub 100mm. But could use a mobility buff

T6: Type 64: It's rather strong as top tier, and still a great passive and active scout in +2 games for missions etc

T7: T71: Sure the Type 62 is really strong now. But the T71 is just all around better with both passive and active spotting, as well as bullying with the burst damage.

T8: Bulldog: Only tier 8 scout I have. And the Bulldog is still great for LT missions, as it's still a superb passive scout. 2500 DPM, but still feels lacking in even a bully/flanking role for any mission related to damage now.

T9: 13 90 for sure. Shorter clip makes it more flexible, great for both passive and active spotting and hit and runs. Not as versatile as the T-54 ltwt. But still more fun IMO.

T10: Not bought anyone yet. But 13 105 was the most fun for me on CT. And the alpha damage change to it made it a bit better.

I've bought the T71 recently and I must say I'm very disappointed with the pen of both the standard and the premium ammo as well as the apparent lack of camo. I sold the T37 as it's useless now and put my 2 skill crew in the T71.

My brother has it and the AMX 13 75 and he honestly thinks the 13 75 is better.
