*Sigh*

Well:

-Weekday afternoon

-Still summer holidays in quite some areas

-World of Warplanes is still running even though that sometimes has a server population of a few hundred only

-etc. pp.

I suggest changing the thread title into "Whiny crybabies having no clue about the game"

Would be much more accurate.

Yes yes we are all doomed. How many 7-ish + year old games are doing as well as they did when they were newer?

In other news, mid week, and during normal business/school hours. Not exactly prime time.

Don't know how accurate Wot-news server stats are, but there is a definite but graduate downward trend in weekly player numbers. Though since 14th of August player nrs have been picking up slightly (due to 9.20 I guess).

I recon the previous slow downward trend will come back, once newishness of 9.20 has been rubbed off.

Numbers fluctuate but it all looks pretty static to my eye.

When was that?I can't even recall it being close to 250K, or even close to 200K at any point around August in all the years I've been here. As sub 100K at this time of day is pr the norm, it's not even peak hours yet. Most are not even home from work etc. 100K + usually don't happen until past 7 PM. Or is it dead to when it drops from 120K to 20K in less then 3 hours between 11 PM and 2 AM?

Summer always drags it way down to 100K or below. Done that for years, as the warm weather pulls people out, and most go away on holiday to be bothered to play. Then the next 4-5 months it goes back up slowly. Before spiking rapidly up to to 200K to 220K when the Xmas events kicks off. As that's the only time I've seen 200K or above.

A few. But I suspect when it will happen to EU and it goes above 100K for the last time and don't even go past it during Xmas events. EU will be the new NA. As RU has 1 million at peak hours still during some months of the year to keep us alive. Much like we did keep NA alive if you will.

That's kinda the odd one out. As I suspect they did indeed lost a few arty players that left the game, or played less. But equally many or more came back or plays more due to arty not killing them instantly.

it amazes me the number of people (players?) who delight in predicting doom and gloom on the forum.

Do they hate the game that much, that they feel the need to pluck some usage stats at an odd time of the day just to emphasise their wish for the demise of the game?

If they don't like like the game, why don't they just go and find another game to play and leave the forums in peace? It must be that trolling the forums with posts like the OP is the only fun they can find.

I have been playing this game for something like 5 years now and one of the first thread I remember reading on the forums had a very similar topic and title. I guess some things never change :)

Once you pass puberty, you start dying albeit slowly, same for games. Once they've reached their peak in new registrations they start dying.

Doesn't mean it's a fast process but yeah, technically WoT is dying but if Wargaming go about it tactically and don't release too many broken (premium) tanks like lately, it will remain alive for another 5-10 years.

If they do, well then they might actually speed the process up.
