Simple, what is in the head of maggot when he/she decides to leave a cap or not cap at all. Remember you are outnumbered by slow HTs that has slight chance of getting back in time (30s).

Well most people crying "no cap kill all" to them all the time have gone to their head I suspect.

Yeah because it's better to lose than win.

"No cap, kill all.. Hurr durr" i think this is something the mindless sheep say because they heard others say it. If you ask for a good reason and logic they stay quiet..

Cap to be sure, kill when you're sure.

Funny thing, you get more xp for capping than killing the last tank according to WG.

Nobody has ever said that.

Cap gives an exact amount of exp points per capture point for each person who is in the cap at the time of a completed capture. Everyone gains a small amount for winning the game by cap and those inside the cap get a small flat bonus on top for a successful capture, as well as exp per cap point of that individual player.

A full HP tank will always provide more XP to the person who gets the damage, and as all players get more XP per point of damage scored by their team as a whole killing the last tank is pretty much always the better option.

Most people also fail to realise that nobody in the cap gets any XP for capture points if the capture is not completed.

Cap gives more XP because you win the game, where kill all leads to lost game and less XP.

You get the amassed capping points if the team kill all while you're in the cap.

OP they're scared of getting grief from the 'no cap kill all' brigade

When did they say that? As when you cap with multiple enemy tanks left. Only you and the people in the cap gets a small xp and credit bonus, and your team is denied the remaining performance XP. If you kill all, everyone gets more XP, not just the people that "cap" As part of your XP is based on your team's overall performance value. The better your team does, and the more damage they do.The more performance XP you get.

Tho ofc... that extra performance XP don't help on a loss. As capping is not always the worst option if they are near your base, and no one can reset their +3 in 30 sec after they start it. Even if you outgun them and they have half the team left. As most lemming races turn down to. Tho that's usually more rare then just capping because reasons. Tho most reasons are missions. And most ignore cap when they should not because missions to. They can kill arty from the cap circle. But better to waste 20 seconds running after it and then help with a +3 cap after the enemy is on 100 on your base.

Do most players really micro manage their earned XP in a battle to such an extreme?

Here!

I play this game to shoot tanks. Not sit in some stupid circle with a flag in the middle. The only time I bother to cap is when I need it for a mission (or someone asks nicely)/don't want to play another battle to get the first win/don't feel like running after the clicker or light.

And yet I somehow manage to get 55,6% WR. Maybe instead of wacking it in the cap actually start playing the game and killing those HTs so they don't outnumber you in the end?

That's borderline improvement, WR is important (and efficiency :D)

You should play for WIN. Like every competition WIN > everything.

What does it matter if you lost with 1-2 goals or 10 goals in football for example. You lost. If sitting in circle ensure you won for your stupid [edited]team, you should do it. More XP=EASIER GRINDS=MORE wins=MORE JOY.

I do play for win. Win by killing all the enemies. And it seems to work well enough.

Capping ftw in my opinion. There has to be a bloody good reason for me to stop capping.

Replay.

Most of the time capping actually reduces ones chance of winning due to the fact that most cap circles are easy to defend - and you actively tell the enemy where you are.

In a way, it is an act of altruism to go to cap circle when you are going to lose anyway - enemies who kill you will get some more xp for defending the cap.
