Hey guys,

So I bought a M4 Jumbo Jet there last week and here it sits unused in my garage, not even 1 battle yet

So I bought this fat derpy thing with the intentions of sinking 6 pints of Guinness and playing with 1 eye closed while bombing a stack load of HE rounds onto tanks while bouncing shots like a drunken boss but I pulled up the handbrake on that idea when I noticed, and you can let me know if this comment is true, while training crew for it in the tier5 Sherman McDerp I noticed the HE rounds did pretty much fork all for the last few weeks so I tried the Hetzer with the same gun to make sure, couldn't even 1 shot a tier3.. has the HE round been nerfed to shi*? If so is there any point in me even playing this Jumbo, or Jumblow as the case may now be? Should I sell this tank?

Next question.

I'm looking to expand my collection of tier6 tanks and for a change I'm looking at some HT options in which I can troll bounce shots and slap a few noobs around the map for fun. So which of these two Stalin beefcakes is up to the job? I can purchase either this Bolshevik Beauty..

Or this one with a little free xp

...or not bother with either if you tell me all these tanks suck right now

KV-85 is still a strong tank for it's tier after they buffed the DPM. Only thing the T-150 has is the high alpha.

Jumbo? Stock turret, 105 derp and you have more armor then most HT's. Lower plate is 260 effective head on. Turret cheeks is 220+ effective, and mantle is 170 ish effective... at tier 6. What's not to like? Upper hull plate is like 130 effective, so paper when not top tier. But still strong enough as top tier at times. Hull down derp is the way tho. Still my second fav tier 6 tank. Think it's still on the top 4 of my max XP tanks. Tho to be fair, that was pre HEAT nerf on the 105's with 3K damage in a tier 8 game. Farming base campers on south coast.

HE don't pen track and don't get normalized. That's may be why you didn't oneshot tier 3.

T-150 is better than KV-85.

1km/h more top speed, comparable power/weight ratio, armour work well sidescraping (KV-85 got 40mm plate on the front!), -7 deg of depression (KV-85 got -2.5), nice alpha and pen with cheap ammo and you can bounce tire 5 AP with the rear armour!

Buy T-150, trust me!:justwait:

Really, and I thought the T-150 was going to be the bully tank.. about the Jumbo, have you tried the HE rounds lately or is it just loaded with HEAT? Have you notice the HE rounds being much less effective than they used to be or am I just dreaming?

I know what you mean but not the case, I tested this for several battles and was catching the like of a luchs and a Stuart (tier4 I know but still) flush on the sides and rear as they raced away only to be repeatedly insulted with 100-120 dmg average.. I'll try again with that derp gun tomorrow but I was knocking in 9 kills with that thing and 7 with the Sherman a tier higher now it just ain't doing anything close on that.

Well I run mostly HE on mine still even now. As top tier you just go hull down and derp everything, as you usually have time to aim for weak spots with that armor. In a tier 8 game you just sit at the back and annoy tier 8 HT's with 100 damage every 6 seconds, and farm track assist damage.

Is this tier6 HT better maybe? I had it for a short stint a long time ago in my race to get a T29 so don't really remember it much apart from being rather large and boxy with shi* armour and a really nice 90mm and gun dep.. I just thought maybe having some of that Russian bias would make those other 2 options more fun and dependable?

Edit- know the O-l is probably king of them all at tier6 but I would have to grind that from scratch and as much as it is a powerful tank I just can't stomach looking at that ridiculous thing let alone actually using one

M6 is my most played tier 6 HT. But about 500 of those games are 4 years old. It's the good all rounder, and nothing more. Good pen, good mobility, good alpha, good dpm, good armor "as top tier". Don't excel in anything, don't sux at anything either. Just does everything good and that's it.

Ive got the t150 and is actually quite good in my opinion, have played it enough games to Judge that.

The pen of gun is good but the gun is also not the most accurate, though allround it isnt that bad at all.

Armour is very easy to use , sidescrape like a boss , bounce like a boss.

Against lower tiers its a nice bully tank :playing:

the M4 Jumbo is OP.

I got it some time ago and it's definitely a keeper.

I didn't try M6, but I never feel it as a minace. In my T-150 I can reliably pen M6 front and turret. If it angles, I can overmatch sides. Same is with O-I. 167mm pen of 107mm gun overmatch O-I sides while being enought to pen the flat frontal plate.

Agreed and when I had it, though a long time ago, I never felt like I could bully and force the battle as top tier it just gets penned too easy but it's a nice tank and moves like a medium.. so I'd almost call it medium tank with a really nice top gun and you get the HT missions completed since it's got that HT tag on it but it really felt like it could just get blown away at any moment.

That sounds great :) unfortunately I missed out on the discount but I'm going to buy one anyway the next time there's a discount, maybe this weekend will be Soviet tanks focus but in any case it's not really expensive anyway if I get impatient and I might even transfer a decent crew into it. I re-purchased the VK-M today instead since after watching a doc on the Panther tank lol. I know it's technically not a Panther but when fully upgraded it looks a hell of a lot more Panther than the Panther ironically and the moved over the crew from my much hated Panther2 that can go drown for itself lol. I have a long way to go to undo all the bad stats on that tank but if I get second MoE some time soon I'll be satisfied, really nice tank now actually, goes well with my T34M

Was off work today so had some time to get tanking, picking up that 2nd MoE on the T34-M :)

After the videos, I'm going to buy VK too. It's the first version of panther. It has the driver hatch on the front but lack the MG port. But I see that panther 1 miss the driver hatch but got the MG port...:amazed:

Well the Panther with it's upgraded turret doesn't really look like a Panther at all. I think most of use think of the stock turret when we think of what a Panther looked like.. maybe that new turret was used on the last 3-10 ever made Panther tanks I don't know but it really ruins that iconic look.. it would be like taking the Tiger1 as it looks when fully upgraded but then adding a proposed or experimental turret and forcing us to play it or lose performance.. not cool WG.. not cool at all...

You should definitely buy that VK, its upper plate is probably even better at bouncing shots than the 34-M and that's really saying something.. the guns handling is a little wobbly but its not bad, nice pen for its tier
