I play this game since 2014 but I must admit, RNG has become too brutal for me. This game is more and more like a poker game. This brutal RNG makes me play this game more rarely with a low level of satisfaction.

Am I the only one who is unlucky lately with -25% almost all the time or is a general phenomena?

i seem mostly extremely unlucky with losing crew members lately. Especially arty/he shells take at least two crew the past couple of days. The most amazing one was a HE shell from a t-54 ltwt, doing a grand 161 damage, but killing my commander, driver and loader and taking out my ammorack to boot...

Only time I get 'bad' RNG is shooting at extreme distance, then it depends on type of tank I am in. Worst are Russian TDs T7 to 10, best are Swedish TDs where you can seem to thread almost impossible shots at times.

You should start logging the occurrences of RNG (non-killing damages rolls are the easiest to keep track of) and you will find that it balances out over time.  Early on in my WoT playing days I thought I was getting shafted by RNG so I started to log it and, sure enough, I was wrong and the rolls evened out to their average.

That being said, having a 50% swing on damage and pen is ridiculous and, in my opinion, RNG should be no more than 10%.

remove RNG on penetration for a start or at least reduce it to say 10%.

RNG does suck. Notice how when you need that 1 shot or there's a kill shot RNG screws you over. Poor accuracy, low damage roll or even a low penetration roll meaning a bounce.

Actually, I have no problem with that. It spices up the game.

The only RNG I find massively annoying is dispersion/accuracy.

Taking five shots at a stationary target that fills 80% of your reticle - the first two fall short, the next misses, the next hits and the last one hits the tracks. That's just... unreal. The arcady kind if unreal.

Dealing with the effects of RNG is as much as skill as any other aspect of game play.

As for OP experiencing -25% all the time, I simply don't believe that is true.  You just never notice the normal and +25% events because you're not looking properly.

Yup, was having a reasonable run of late but last week or so has been a rng fuckfest. You know, when you cant even see the 50/100 to shoot at behind a ridge, yet the bastard can pen you twice and when you do see him its a miss or bounce for you. Thanks wg.

Seems like nothing is penning and even completely missing the target.. wg rigging at its finest.

..then when you get a reasonable player on your team (3mark fv215b) in a hull down scenario and he manages 800 damage before being killed.  You can see its a farce at times.

Shills will be along in a moment to tell me its my turn to suck.. but i say if my turret will bounce shots on one day but not bounce a single one the next, that is not a skill issue, its wg rigging.

Have you noticed how all the negative RNG completely cancels out all of your skill?  Have you also noticed how you never get positive RNG. That you have to have skill to pull off those tricky shots?

Hi OP!

Whilst you keep thinking this way, you will keep getting frustrated. Everyone has the same rng, everyone has moments of not being able to hit the side of a barn from inside the barn and everyone has those little moments of seemingly impossible shots through a building window for a kill at 400m.

You can't change it. Accept it for what it is and you'll not worry or spend nervous energy or something you have no influence over. If it helps, treat rng like that mad uncle who collects teat cosies - you like em and sometimes they just do weird things that you should laugh at.

Good luck commander o7

RNG is more noticeable if the game as a whole isn't much fun. First it giveth, then it taketh away...

Also, I kind of wanted to post this GIF for no particular reason:

Indeed, RNG has been quite brutal.

Makes me sweat hard.

RNG on pen and dmg should be reduced to at most 10-5%. As it is now, is the most annoying thing in game...

I am sure RNG is a real help for newcomers but after 10k battles I find it quite annoying.

Something is happening for sure since I see a low number of "green" players nowadays . It is not how it used to be last year for example. Perhaps many of them don't play this game as often as they did it before and I am sure that RNG is one of their reasons.

Truth be told, when RNG becomes too obvious, the game isn't funny at all and becomes just a waste of time.

Sure, this is just my personal opinion.

Not much to elaborate on this, i just like memes and i like to encourage all conspiracy theories...:hiding:

RNG can be a annoyance sometimes, but everyone is affected in the same amount. In my opinion the amount of RNG is a little too high maybe, +/-25% means a 50% if my math is correct.

Sure everybody complains about RNG at some point, because it is in the human nature to remember/comment mostly about bad things.

I rarely seen people complaining that RNG gave them a high roll and/or a unexpected kill, but you always see people complaining about low rolls...

I dunno, people seem to be writing in a way that makes out THEY are experiencing more than their fair share.  It's easy to infer from this that they feel they are getting 'special' treatment.  Bordering precariously on tin foilery...
