I saw these 3 tanks discounted in tech tree and i wonder if any of it worth the gold.

Panther/M10 - based on reviews i saw only good thing is premium mm but still weak. Also i dont like german tanks at all

Skoda T 40 - based on reviews the pen is too low and accuracy is the worst but good alpha

Strv m/42-57 Alt A.2 - this one i played on test server and i think is a fun tank to play. the reviews were bad, bad view range, bad mobility etc

Can you share your opinions ?

I own all three vehicles and the Panther M10 is my definite favourite. It still has limited MM so you will not see tier 9 tanks in it. DPM and accuracy are great, you have got a good healthpool (1300 hp) and some armor that can actually bounce stuff from lower tiers.. Overall solid tank with which you can carry games. The Panther/M10 also has this uniqueness factor as one can not really compare it to any other tank in game.

The swedish is just a nice auto-loader medium. Nothing bad about that, just average, but for example the Skoda T25 with autoloader gun is way better.

The skoda T40 is probably the hardest. The alpha is indeed nice, but this is the one tank where I see lots of shots miss by a mile... T-34-85 has similar alpha, similar armor and is just much, much better.

I own only the Strv

I can say that its mobility and gun depression are quite poor, however the view range is rather nice with a trained crew + equipment, and that the autoloader is well worth the pitfalls in mobility

imo its worth the gold (I bought it with real money, not gold, and it was good enough for that)

I'd can only vouch for the M/42-57, it is a fun support tank, gun depression can be tricky at times. While I do have the skoda t40 I don't have nearly enough battles with it to really give an opinion (but it does seem like a bit better platform for the short 88 than the t6 tiger) and I don't have the Panther m10.

It of course also depends on which country you want to train a crew or have already a crew that fits right into this tank.

Problem with the Skoda T 40 is poor gun handling, combined with a rather big profile and no armor anywhere. Gun depression is ok, but you still end up exposing quite a bit of that flat turret front and need to do so for some time to aim fully as bloom values are pretty bad. Mobility is ok. DPM at almost 2K is pretty good, but nothing exceptional compared to the other premium Tier VI medium tanks. Even if you can put that DPM to work, you will lose out in most situations as on top of everything else Wargaming decided to give the biggest medium the lowest HP pool at 700...

N.B. The ammo rack is pretty weak, and penetrations through the turret front tend to cause detonations. It's one of very few vehicles I've mounted Wet Ammo Rack on.

The SWE tank is pretty useless as a crew trainer as no Swe med past Tier 7.

I would say that after all of the positive reviews I have seen after it's buff.

That the Panther/M10 definately is!

Do not have the Skoda. But I think not really. Unless your dying to get a good crew for that line.

I do have the Strv m/42-57, It's not bad. But I would not buy it again. Bought it for crew training & have good Swedish crews now.

(The point above is well made)

Cheers

Only bad players expose any weakness, any good player can shred noobs with the Skoda T 40 left and right.

Panther\m10 is the best premium tank I own. I value it more than the Patriot. Its so much fun.

1st panther

2nd panther

3rd panther

:)

Anyone else notice they listed 3 tanks and said "both" would be on special offer? Sheesh, they really need to stop letting the janitors and cleaners manage the web site :)

Keep in mind that the Swedish tank is a Medium ... and there are NO DECENT REGULAR MEDIUMS on the Swedish tech tree. So you're gonna end up grinding a crew for a tank type and nation, which has nothing to offer.

Skoda T40 is quite nice. I like it personally and it's a pretty good crew trainer for both the Tier 9 and 10. Provided you add an additional Radio Operator.

And liking or not German tanks, the Panther M10 is by far the best of the bunch. As Tier 7, makes more money then the Tier 6s previously mentioned. And it has perfect layout for 90% of the German tanks.

So you'd perform horribly with it then?

Stridsvagn m/42 and 74 are definitely good tanks, and the strv m/42-57 is quite a fun little tank to play.
