Hi fellow tankers,

I have played world of tanks on and off for about 3 years now and during this time the T110e5 has seen a few different changes. Back in 2014 it was considered one of the worst heavies due to its huge and thin lower plate coupled with its gigantic cupola. So after it was given a HD model it gained a decent amount of armour to these two weaker points on the vehicle. Some said back throughout 2016 that it was too strong due to the cupola being 260mm thick meaning most tier 10 heavies would have to fire gold and the lower plate being very inconstant to shoot at and would pull off some crazy bounces. Back then maybe the T110e5 was at the top of its game and very viable, but by them nerfing it in the same patch they changed the Maus to be the overbuffed bunch of ******** it became WG really contradicted themselves. I feel to make the T110e5 viable again the cupola should either be buffed back up or changed to a similar design as the T57 heavy instead of being this huge glaring weak spot. Due to other vehicles being added such as the PZ Kampf VIII and the type 5 and Maus being buffed with no weak spots other than spamming gold the T110e5 has really fallen behind and out of the meta. This means that WG could get away with simply just changing the vehicle to its pre nerfed state which would not only make it once again viable but also fun to play and competitive against the newer vehicles and buffed vehicles.

Alright mate, I know what you mean, The e5 got nerfed because it was supposedly over-powered, and I agree at the time in the meta I can see why it was called OP, But in the very same patch that it was nerfed the maus and the Type 5 heavy were both buffed to be ridiculously OP. Honestly I don't think "OP" is strong enough to describe how much these tanks were buffed. Now before I start I understand that these tanks were bad and underplayed but to buff them as much as they did by giving them armour that you can't pen unless you fire premium rounds is unacceptable when the soul reason they nerfed the e5 was because it's armour was to stronk, the patch contradicted itself, Nerf OP armour and replace it with armour twice as thick on two other tanks, and don't even get me started about the Derp guns the type 4 and 5 got. Really I just feel that the e5 nerf would have been acceptable if not for the fact that two other tanks got armour twice as thick as the e5 cupola all over their tanks.

The E5 used to be bad when it was released then it was giving its HD model and it was fantastic then they nerfed it again let's hope 4th times the charm ;) They need to buff the e5 cupola

Buffing it back to what is was right after the HD changes would be to much imho. Yet buffing the cupola to levels were tier 8 tanks do not pen it easily with every hit anymore might not be a bad idea considering it's a tier x heavy. It's a little to weak considering how big it is.

The tank is fine. It always has been. I just want a higher reverse speed, thats all.

If it didn't face tier 8's often, I would agree.

Its 230mm, thats not weak, they nerfed it by 30mm only.

If you want to buff it do it the proper way to reinforce its role, make the cupola a bit smaller, not stronger, and buff the dpm to 2600instead of 2500 base.

Reverse speed buff is very good idea, it will help also hiding cupola after shot

I will buff reverse speed and modules durability/size

That would work too. Like I wrote "it's to weak for how big it is". Being both very easy to hit as well as very easy to pen undermines it's role as a heavy tank a little to much. Atm I would say the Patton has the better turret even thought it's overall quiet a bit weaker.

I think giving the e5 the new m48 patton cupola with the e5 cupola current armour would solve all problems, the small size of the patton cupola would make it harder to hit, not OP just balanced. Thoughts?

I made quite a few suggestions but i agree this small buff could make a huge difference to now such an underplayed tank. Giving it a similar cupola to the M48 Patton or T57 heavy would make it less of an auto pen top hat.

Americans have no true heavy, and that's the problem, all the tanks are half-baked.

Fatton being a heavium, E5 too, same for T57, E4 another hybrid, the E3 a tank supposed to push in a full premium environment, only one medium line, the American tree is really weird.

Many good tanks though, but it goes all over the place, I'd like to have a true heavy, a true light, a true medium, dunno, something where the tank excels and not that jack of all trades mood.

It cant be the solution to buff every tank in the game by making the turret stronger. Patton and 140 Buff was already unneccesary.

That's the whole point, though. Or was.

Americans were jack of all trades with gun dep.

Germans had the gun accuracy.

French had the autoloaders and mobility.

Russians had the alpha.

Brits had the ROF.

Now it's all blending, and you want to keep pushing for that homogeneity? How daft. Just pick a nation that suits your needs instead.

I think the 140 buff was unnecessary I agree with you on that, the patton imo needed that buff, maybe not to the extent wargaming buffed it, but that things turret needed changing. Now the e5 is supposed to be a heavy yet the patton has arguably a better turret i'm not asking for an impenetrable fortress of a cupola just something that stands up in today's meta becasue atm I feel like i'm playing a heavy tank that is completely undermined by the fact that it always like im playing a tank with a top hat constructed from paper mache and pringles. And again i refer back to my previous idea give the e5 a buffed version of the new m48 patton cupola, maybe as small but thicker as it is a heavy and moves slower. What do you guys think?

Btw, the notion that patton has a better turret is BS. First off half the patton tutret can be penned by standard ammo. Thr cupola is also much weaker. An e5 is only vulnarable on the cupola, the rest of the turret is impenetrable, and even thr cupola is immune to tier8 tanks and is just as troll ad the patton turret front.

And the patton turret is cheese for heat, the e5 turret only penable on the cupola by heat.

E5 turret is better than m48 in all aspects.

BY WHO?

You realize post-nerf e5 is better than pre-buff e5, right? And that it was one of the most used tanks for CW back then?

Assuming WOT still exists in the future, it will one day be OP again. But it will have to wait its turn. Surely everyone is aware how WG operates by now?

that turret should be made so much smaller. its rly stupid..  here u have all that armor but never mind that. we present u this huge target so u will kill him easily.

e5 is a big slow heavy and needs that cupola to be smaller.

compare this to the is7 that gets buffed agian and again.  fast, low profile, good gun, but NO!!! CUPOLA!!!!! to shoot.. come on... if anything is7 should be nerfed and e5 buffed
