As if there isn't enough already!

Start of the game and I'm trundling along in my slow tank and someone in a faster tank rams me up the bottom. It's not a corridor so there's lots of room to drive by. But instead of backing off then driving by he just keeps shoving me from behind. So I stop, and he shoots me.

I wondered if this is some sort of *Edited behaviour and overture I'm unaware of?

Used to be rather common that people helped pushing slower tanks, now a days it's quite uncommon, on a more important note though, why didn't you say hello back!! :(

Often happens when u drive a slow tank. Some kind soul will give u a push, nothing negative about it, only trying to help u.

Funniest I had was trying, and failing, to speed up a T95:)

Well they can't push you past your max speed but they can surely give you a boost up a hill as long as they have the engine power.

Not new. I got set on fire in my Matilda by a Luchs back in 2015. On Karelia and speeding off at 20 km/h in my 'Tilly when the Luchs rode in to me from behind and proceeded to pump a few shells in to my booty, burning me up..

Way back when WoT was new, one could actually make tanks go faster by pushing them from behind. However, years ago this behavior was removed from the game. Maybe this guy just returned to the game and does not know that (yet) ?

Yep, I remember the days of tank 'trains' pushing the heavies up the hill on Himelsdorf and Malinovka

You still can.

Just not all tanks because they are too damn heavy.

We almost got a Maus over the Westfield bridge.  Got him to hit the middle section, but he fell backwards.

With 29 pushers...

No idea why he would shoot you, but on console its called "playing as a team" and faster tanks will help slow ones like T28/t95, the AT series and tortoise and slow heavies to get into position more quickly, often you will see several tanks one behind the other or two side by side helping them along as they can be pivotal to holding a flank IF they are there with the other tanks rather than arriving a minute after all the other tanks are dead

With PC there is the complication of damaging tanks on your own team if you start pushing them with too much of a speed differential or if they are very lightly armoured but I think the mindset on PC is less team orientated and more "me me me" too, this couldn't have been more effectively highlighted when I was in a crommy and got flipped onto my side, another crummy drove right past me several times and left me there even though we went from being two tanks up to two tanks down during the subsequent passes then we lost the game to two enemy tanks both of which hardly had any health left so one extra gun in the game could have made the difference, but hey, winning isn't everything I guess :)

I've had someone stop then the moment I drove around them carry on in the exact same direction to the place they were obviously heading to in the first place (although I don't shoot them because of it lol), I just assume they were too dim to figure out what I was doing and that they will be happier driving past collections of dead tanks never quite being able to catch up to the advancing front line and leave them to it

Generally pushing is a complete waste of time and only increases your speed by a kph or 2, I find it quite annoying but put up with it because a player is at least trying to do what he thinks is the right thing.

Sometimes its worth pushing arty if they are in the open and struggling to get behind ally tanks.

To some extent yeah, if the tank pushing doesn't have much engine power and the one its pushing is much heavier it wont make a difference, but tanks like the AT15A can have quite noticeable increases to speed if pushed by a decent heavy, med or faster TD with a decent engine

A Cromwell trying to speed up a KV4 on the other hand, not so much

The difference can be far more noticeable with hills though such as on Hogwarts getting to the top of the hill there, but pushing the same tank along the flat doesn't make as much difference as some tanks are underpowered but its sufficient when on the flat on hard terrain, put the same tank on an incline or soft terrain and its speed dives off a cliff, even some mediums suffer badly with underpowered engines and getting up hills and can drop to half or less of their speed along the flat due to low engine power

Aufpanther was so lovely to play for that reason, strong engine and no real use as a first-line scout. I miss that thing ...still got sweet "dreams" about ramming Batchats and other lights.

On topic, sometimes tanks needs more courage. Some nice words instead of the ol' KY is fine. :)

The old "whoops I slipped" excuse still works too :)

But if it ever happens by accident DONT under any circumstances say "wow, did you finally try doing kegels then?" it never ends well
