XM551 Sheridan

  • Changed damage of the Exp. APDS shell for 105 mm Lightweight Gun from 360 to 390
  • Changed damage of the Exp. HE shell for 105 mm Lightweight Gun from 440 to 480
  • Changed damage of the Exp. HEAT shell for 105 mm Lightweight Gun from 360 to 390
  • Changed the reloading time of the 105 mm Lightweight Gun from 9.2 s to 8.57 s.
  • Changed the rate of fire of the 105 mm Lightweight Gun from 6.52 to 7.
  • Increased the ammo rack capacity of 105 mm Lightweight Gun for the AR/AAV XM551 Sheridan turret from 37 to 42 shells

Comments: It's sad to see the unique 360 average damage removed from the game. I thought it was nice and refreshing, it gave the tier x light tanks something new and not just more of the same "390 boomsticks" that are already dominant in the tier x gun pool. It would be much easier to give them a higher rate of fire (and thus dpm), which also fits the light tank branch. Faster reload times make it easier to hunt artillery and other low hp targets. Having 390 average with such long reload times means that you can't be aggressive at all in light tanks.

So if I understand correctly grinded XP on tier 8 T49, and were transferred to Bulldog, will be lost forever, since connection to the tier 9 T54E1 will be removed?

I have like 90k hardly earned XP on Bulldog and wouldn't like to lose them for nothing. Is it even possible to do long term things in this game?

I kind of don't agree with the M48 hull changes for a couple of reasons:

1. We lost some gun depression over the back of the tank. Now, this may not seem like a big deal in most of the chases, since we don't really sit with our backs to the enemy and shoot, but in some cases the depression really helped. It's a bit of a nerf for people who maybe used that feature in some funky way.

2. Why does it necessarily have to be M48-A1/A5/Awhatevernumber ? Why can't it just be the M48 Patton? The argument of realism in WoT, in my opinion, doesn't weigh that much anymore since the game is way past the realistic state. There are a lot of vehicles that don't match their real counterparts. I'm not a historian, and I might be wrong in some cases, but I believe the fully upgraded T-54 is basically a 1947(?) hull (120mm front armor) with a 1949 turret and a 1955(?) gun.. I think.  Same thing goes to the M46 Patton which has an M47 turret/gun. Is it realistic? I don't think it is. Is it playable? Yes.. and as long it's playable It's fine by me however.

"In 1949 the first modernization phase came with the T-54-2. According to statistics stating that 90% of hits were taken a meter from the ground, the thick frontal upper plate was decreased to 100 mm (3.94 in). The turret design and AA mount were also modified. The new turret was inspired by the one fielded on the heavy IS-3, but with a characteristic overhang at the rear and shorter bustle."

"In 1955, another major modernization (Objekt 137G2) was traduced into production as the T-54B. It was equipped with the D-10T2S rifled gun..."

3. This is also a bit of a personal one. The visual of the tank. I personally dislike that thing that pops out of the back of the tank that's staring back at me like 2 gigantic nostrils. I rely a lot of visuals when it comes to picking a tank and keeping it, and the hull was one of the reasons I picked the tank; same to the other 2 US heavies that I have in my garage. Why can't we have back that nice back of the hull that goes downwards like a curve - like this: フ. Why do we have to stick with a yucky one just for the sake of "realism" in a game that's not entirely realistic?

Do stats carry over between the M48 Pattons?

About the changes to US vehicles the tier 9 auto-loader medium tank T54E1 should need better gun handling like better aim time, better accuracy, better dispersion while moving and turning the turret ,better reload time of whole magazine.

The tier 10 light tank sheridan should need the dispersion while stationary decreased .

I have the T71 and I've already unlocked and bought the T69 so now I'm grinding the M41 Bulldog. I understand that the CMCD (non auto) version is a different tank so I'll receive the DA (auto) but all the xp I have now in the current T71 will be basically useless and forcing me to start that grind over. I'm not going to powergrind the M41 to unlock it before the patch because I like my chilled way of playing WoT and I don't want to hate the T71, it's my problem and not a big deal but philosophically that xp is for the Bulldog and should go to the CMCD.

HirAmHelcaraxe it is a big deal since we are grinding stuff basically for nothing and imho should be resolved in proper manner.

Similar problem - xp is on the Bulldog and the T69 shall be unlocked. While I dislike it, the current pt techtree does streamline the tank lines nicely, so I think we might as well bite into the sour apple ;)

Xandania It's more then that, I simply enjoy playing scouts and since connection is being removed power grind is the only option. However power grind does not give me any pleasure or joy while playing so it's basically game telling me, do do do more do it faster it's worth it, but is it?

Having played the M48 a bit more, now I really don't like the change. The gun depression over the back of the tank isn't even 0.. it's like +1 or something like that.. it's not even gun depression anymore, and that's pretty much a cheeki nerf if you ask me. Got screwed in a couple of games because of that.

I'm feeling the same way you do. But my point is that the new version of the lines is clearer and without too many research lines going to other lines - nice and clear compared to all the cross-line research options that happened with the introduction of the T10 lights.

Well, there might be some truth in that, but looking in USSR or Chinese or German tech tree it does not at all. Tier 10 lights were introduced few patches ago so don't you think this should be addressed and resolved then???

However, since WG is not able to adapt to it's own changes, because they are pushing it out too fast, in the end players should suffer because of it and not enjoy game anymore. Keep in mind those changes will probably effect other tech tree's too, but hey lets do it slowly patch by patch so people can't adapt/prepare and not be aware what to expect.

A lot of it probably depends on imagination of developers to produce all the new Fake tanks, that is why it goes so slowly.

it is funny to have the whole T57heavy tech tree researched just T69 in the middle left UN-researched. don't you think you should have considered it researched like you did for T71 when added to the game?

by seeing the tree some one may think it is inconsistent to have a vehicle UN-researched and jumped over with no branch in the tree.

XM551 Sheridan HE gun is almost useless the reload time is not good but acceptable but long aiming time makes it almost useless in game play I think it also needs some improvements

Nerfin the bulldog auto loader was certainly necessary. However you went way overboard with it and now you remove the mess you created entirely? If I were your boss, you'd be looking for a new job.

I invested on T37, assigned my personal mission female crew on it and bought permanent camouflage to use it on tournaments you decided to make it unusable by weakening its characteristics dramatically and considered no compensations for those who was affected to the change . well that was your choice I wrote to you and there was no attention to the subject. I retrained the female crew on bulldog bought permanent camouflage on it to use it as a tier 8 tank for tournaments now you are removing auto-loader of that tank on this update. and I am sure you do not care about those who are affected by this as well, are you really chasing my actions to harm me in a way or not? :)

Hello Wargaming,

Let me recap this for clarity.

So you have taken the 50k+ xp I had towards the t69 and merched that with the bulldog line and then taken my connection with the t69 in 1 year time?

Thus removing my ability to use those 50k+ xp on the t69?

I would not appreciate it if that is true. putting it euphemistic.

Currently grinding the t54E1, and let me say this on par with the chalenger has been one of the most stupid tanks I have ever grinded.

So its a med without mobility, an heavy without armor, an autoloader without power.

A tank without armor, without gun and without mobility.
