Personally I just find it all a bit depressing. It doesn't seem that you can play a higher tier game without one of the 'special' people deciding they want their voice heard.

Can't get depressed at this game mate.... I get angry...but never depressed.

Genrally speaking that's true - but after the umpteenth time of imploring your team to not all go death valley in slow heavy's on Lakeville cos they will die to arty and we will lose the town,or the hundedth time pleading with your team to not all go beach on overlord, you lose faith in the community's ability to learn. I'm an old fart, but if I can get reasonably good at this game(OK I wont ever be a unicum, but I still keep trying to improve) then there is no exscuse for all the "idiots" we see constantly making the same stupid mistakes - I dont mean the new guys - I mean the guys with 40K plus battles and a 45% wr who still go to beach on overlord - they never learn so you give up trying to tell them, and frustration sometimes takes over and you yell at the team from time to time - it's not a good thing, but it happens :-(

I used to get bothered by the insults, until I realised that only virgins and QB fans care about WN8.

I care about improving which is a little ridiculous with a digital game but that's me.  WN8 is a way I can measure myself against, I don't necessarily take to much notice of others unless they are ridiculously low that is.

If I was the finished article I would move on from this and play something else, the grind is my religion.

Calling someone an idiot does nothing. Giving some advice on what could be done better helps the community.

In 99% of cases that would be a pointless exercise because most of these players think they are way better at the game than they are and they do not have the skills to recognise how bad they are.

You can see it from the forums, these players that come in and instead of asking a question or asking for help, they blame the game, MM, OP tanks, premium ammo whatever for them being bad and demand something to be changed.

It's tough being in a T9/10 tank with the MM, all those pesky T7/8's bouncing shells off the tank.  I don't know how the high tier tank players cope.

It may be pointless ... but so is calling someone an idiot.

#deadpool crybabies - it's why we have a blacklist, so we can recognise them in future battles :playing:

I've only found 2 of them on enemy teams so far, but there's a certain smug satisfaction when you get to stick it to them up the rear :teethhappy:

So this happens to you a lot does it? Most surprising I must say but please, do amuse us all with some of the insults you have had unfairly lashed upon you over the years?

So you think it's justified to label someone and idiot if they make a mistake. That means everyone is an idiot surely?

Of course not. But people can do idiotic thing consistently which are no longer considered "mistakes". For instance if I camp in my E100 every game behind arty that is an idiotic thing to do.

So if you meet a player in a game how do you know that they do this 'idiot' mistake every game?

I seriously find players that waste 14 teammates time and effort by some consistent really stupid way of playing much more rude then any words on chat.

If common sense dictate that someone do idiotic things in life then he act like an "idiot" same thing should be applied to 15 vs 15 multiplayer game. When you act in idiotic way you affect other people, some might snap and tell you rude things.

I personally suspect the OP is an *edited*... Wait, I retract that! No! Please! Don't ban me! Arrgggh! :P

In all seriousness, you'd probably be surprised to find out that most people that insult you are not 'kids', but just random players infuriated by your actions. Sure, it might make you feel better to assume they are, as it gives you some feeling of superiority, or maybe a self-imposed moral high ground, but I've been called 'kid' many, many times by people without the intellect to form a coherent argument. It's really quite sad.

I wonder why WG don't have an automated system for chat banning similar to the tk system, it'd certainly give the game a more cordial atmosphere.

I wonder why people can't turn off chat if they're so easily triggered by bad words typed in an online multiplayer game.

Turning off chat is bad as there are sometimes people trying to use chat to win the battle.   Often important in the endgame.

It's the ragers, racists and potty-mouthed juveniles(of all ages) that need their chat turned off and I report the lot of them as much as I can.
