I really enjoy the Jagpanther II and the Chinese WZ-120-1G FT seems like a similar playstyle TD. The one thing I'm a bit concerned about is the aiming time, it's much longer than the Jag II. I would love to hear from anyone that owns this TD that can offer some info on it, reviews welcome! TiA

There is no sub section for Chinese TD :-( someone did start a poll to create one though.

It's fun - but the gun handling is rather derpy. Reminds me very much of playing the SU-122-44. Mildly trollish armour, more effective for bullying lower tiers than bouncing anything serious, good speed - and like all casemate TDs, really awkward in any kinda of peeking or CQB, so don't do that.

[Edit]: Gun depression is merely OK as well, don't really plan on being able to hull down.

Well they do have kind of similar playstyle though I would say JP2 is more of a sniper even in top tier matches as its armor is worse unless you go hulldown and only show the top next to your gun. WZ is more sneaky so you can get a bit closer and you will need to, that gun is really quite derpy and you definitely want to fully aim unless you are 50m from the side of type4/5 or similary big tank with flat armor and even then hitting weakspots wil not be that easy.

All in all I would say that WZ allows you to be more agressive when you are top tier and are facing lower tiers because of its better frontal armor but it is worse at hitting moving targets at longer distances because of aim time and generally worse gun stats.

I also really enjoyed JPII  although I prefer ScorpionG now and I am also enjoying wz 120-1G though I will admit that gun really frustrates me from time to time, especially when it usually fails me when I need it the most to behave :D

Basically if you are willing to trade more accurate gun for more camo and better armor in most situations than you wont be disappointed. Also definitely put fire extinguisher on it until you have crew skills for it because it tends to burn quite a bit from frontal shots if you decide to buy it.

Got the Master yesterday. :D

From my experience, it is much closer of a beefed up skillammo 122-44 than of a JPII.

It is turretless, has a "meh" gun depression and derpy aiming stats. Everything else is great. DPM, speed, manoeuvrability, pen, camo, view range and troll armor.

The dispersion values are pretty good and the max accuracy workable, so it snapshots well and can snipe when needed (still derpy, tho).

I prefer it over my old JP2, as it is muuuch sneakier despite a poorer crew.

EDIT: Here is my Master replay, just in case.

The gun handling is terrible. It takes forever to aim long shots and the accuracy feels as derpy to SU-152. But you are God when top tier. And when bottom tier the camo rating and view range is excellent. So you can have fun no matter the MM, it's not a bad purchase. Although I would have bought the Skorpion instead given the choice out of the two.

The armor can bounce tier 10 guns if you use max gundep and hide the LFP, if you above the enemy then it feels like maus armor it bounces so much. guns good besides derpy aimtime. dpm is really nice too. its mobility of a medium and turns on a dime. its really a well rounded jack of all trades TD.

Edit: also 4th best camo at tier 8 on a TD. better than RHM!

Luckily I already have the Skorpion G, it's okay I hate the turret traverse, reverse speed and the lack of camo though.

use the camo, that way you can stay hidden long enough for your gun to aim on them

ofcourse, it doesn't always go that way, but I find with net and vents, it allows you to remain hidden after firing, and the vents help the aimtime a little...

im not sure a gun laying drive will save it though

It has much better camo than JP2, which is a huge advantage right there.

People say about derpy gun handling, but it's not really a big deal - unlike SU-122-44 it actually has good 250mm of penetration which is easy mode vs anything on T8 or below, OK vs T9 and requires a modicum of precision vs TX. SU can only really hope to be effective vs T7 and below tanks.

Also, the armour profile - if you find a ridge you can tilt your tank on, hide the LFP and still aim at enemies (seriously, not really that uncommon) you suddenly have 250 effective front with no weakspots. Also, because the front on even ground is still ~200 effective armour, if you are top tier you can get in-yo-face with it (just like SU-122-44) and steamroll lower tiers. JP2 can't really do that.

Overall, I think it's a much more dangerous tank than JP2 - better camo, 380 VR and slightly better DPM more than make up for longish aim time and 0.01 worse dispersion. I really like JP2, it was my favourite TD, but this thing is just flat out better.

Oh almost forgot, the reverse speed is also much better because balance, da comrade.
