wg is being so cheap with whole ranked battles and now with bonds for medals...

Good thing #1: they're considering that not everyone wants to or is capable of playing at higher tiers.

 

Good thing #2: bonds are becoming available to the majority of players and not just the supposedly "super-elite".

 

Bad thing #1: the amount of bonds you get is worthless. A battle where you deal more destruction than Rambo and collect more war medals than Audie Murphy nets you just enough bonds to buy a perk upgrade for a single battle (assuming your tank or crew have the capability to use that upgrade, which is hundreds of thousands of silver and possibly hundreds of games with that tank and crew). I thought you'd get thousands of bonds for being Chuck Norris II, not a tiny handful. Bonds aren't even that interesting or desirable anyway -- they would be, but they are very far beyond my reach (for example) so that means there is no point whatsoever in bothering about bonds.

 

Bad thing #2: this simply allows players with 50,000 games and four years of experience to further bully and outmatch lesser players by giving them even better view range, better this, better that... do they really need an extra bunch of advantages if they're as good as they think they are?

First: I like the idea!

 

Then, a question. Does the tier mean the Battle Tier, or the tier of the vehicle used? I think it is the latter (as you can't earn bonds for Orlik's medal in Tier X) but I think the first approach is much better (as a Top Gun earned in a Tier X game in a Tier VIII tank is harder than a Top Gun earned in a Tier X tank against mostly lower tiered opponents).

 

Second, numbers are overall too low.

Invader being less than High Caliber and equal to Defender makes no sense. Defender should be more than Invader, maybe excluding Raider as that one is genuinely quite rare and won't be obtained very easily at all. But normally capping should not be promoted, so Invader should not be worth many bonds. If anything, that is the only medal that should be worth 1 bond from Tier IV-IX (and 2 at Tier X).

The two non-Battle Hero SPG achievements, Cold Blooded and For Counter-Battery Fire should be included (as well as the aforementioned Raider).

Radley Walters, Pool's and especially Rasinei Heroes give way too little Bonds too.

 

High Caliber and Orlik's medal (and its counterparts for Medium Tanks) should give bonds at all tiers. Especially High Caliber is extremely rare at Tier I-III and Orlik's Medal isn't any harder at Tier III than it is at Tier VI.

It just needs some more working upon the number of the winning bonds.

During the last couple of months we have been fleshing out bonds as a new layer of currency in the game. Once the whole system is in place, adjusted, and working it will provide everyone with a new currency to earn and customize their vehicles with. I hope that once we are finished tweaking bonds you will change your mind about them :)

good idea, bad implementation, as usual.

current amount of bond reward is way to less. it needs to be 3-5x more then it might be ok.

forfeit this bonds crap already and focus on tank balance.

If you do this a little too often you get banned.

Maybe you can't get bonds if you hit any ally with direct shots (like which is the case with High Caliber).

Numbers are easy to tweak as long as the system itself is sound. If you think the rewards are too low, let us know (thanks for already doing so) and we will let our developers know and they can look into it.

I think this is a very pessimistic approach. Should we really do away with the whole system, which according to a lot of people looks very promising, because a small percentage of players might try to break the rules to get to the rewards? I think if that's becoming a widespread issue, we have to address it, but not by denying everyone a chance to earn bonds this way.

 

We can definitely focus on tank balance, while also working on other things like bonds :) This patch actually brings a lot of tank balance changes.

You should reward Battle Buddy (do not cause any dmg to allies in 50 battles) tho. A lot.

That is actually an ingenious idea to motivate people to not do any team damage.

I think it's great. Just few more years of playing with tier 8 tank and you can buy one piece of equipment.

 

You should make it for tier 1-4 too. For example 0,01 - 0,5 bons per medal.

How about ranking all those medals on 3 levels. Like easily obtainable are rank 1, hardest are rank 3.

And then, multiply that rank with tier of tank you are playing and result is amount of bonds you get.

So, on tier 5 you get medal lvl 2 and it gives you 10 bonds. On tier 10 you get medal lvl 3 and you get 30 bonds. That would be much better and more rewarding. And people would try to play higher tiers and spend ALL THEIR MONEY ON GOLD AMMO just to get more medals and more bonds. It's good for everyone, especially for WG. :)

 

Implement this idea, please :)
And then give me gold for it, I'm greedy ;)

So more ways to earn bonds... Maybe also add more things to use our bonds on? Would it be too much requested to be able to buy permanent camo with bonds? Or to convert bonds into gold?

 

Also... 3 bonds for a top gun... :D :facepalm:

I kinda like the idea, those that have fantastic games should be rewarded. However I play all the time and I just ain't very good which I guess is my bad but i do try. The point is I very rarely get any medals..... occasionally. So this does smack a little of good players getting more bonds to get more improved equipment which will consequently result in them winning more games and medals earning more bonds allowing more "super" equipment which will lead to them wining more battles and medals so they....................... Do you get where I am going with this? Yee Haa
