Proposed Bonds for Medals System Way Too Frugal

First off, I think the general idea is great and should definitely be implemented!

 

Hopefully developers are open to feedback on how it should be implemented.

 

The NA server released this table:

 

 

 

Anyone who looks at it can immediately spot that the amount of bonds on offer for truly epic medals is excruciatingly low. Right now, you will have to earn 20 Pool's medals (200 bonds) just to move Improved Equipment from one of your tanks to another. This makes no sense.

Logically, the amount of bonds you get for medals should be tied to how statistically (im)probable they are. For one, we know it is much, much easier to get into the 1st League in Ranked then it is to get a Pool's medal, nevermind Raseinai Heroes! Yet one gives you 5000+ bonds and the other just 10? Rewards for Epic medals should mean you earn 1000s of bonds, not 10s.

When discussing, remember this - we all want bonds for Medals, the idea is great. So don't trample all over WG for this. Let's just make our voices heard that the proposed numbers are way too small to the point of ridiculousness.

I think the exact opposite: the idea to create a medal-rush that gives the winner an opportunity to make his tanks stronger is godawful, only salvaged by the fact that you get practically nothing from it.

I think WG want to reward consistently good play over time and keep the improved equipment somewhat special rather than swamp the game with it by giving everyone who gets a topgun 500 bonds. This works fine and everyone has the ability to get something nice in due course.

Therefore, like I said, the amount of bonds received should be inversely tied to the probability of receiving the medal - the higher the probability, the lower the amount of bonds, but also, the lower the probability, the higher the amount of bonds you get.

 

I have only 6 Pool's medals for 41K games. 10 bonds for it is not in a fair relation with how rare it is.

Yeah, I murdered my way through a tier 10 game in a tier 8 yesterday, and got rewarded with amazing 2 bonds, one for top gun, and one for the high caliber. Sorry, but that is a bad joke.

You could buff all rewards by a factor of 10 and it would still take forever to get only one piece of improved equipment through it.

Well, I do like the idea and find those value pretty fair. WG said that wants to introduce more way to earn bonds, so I see this as a way to integrate the other future way. At most I would double this value...

Yeah, when I first saw this I thought this is laughable. But I appreciate the idea and the small steps they recently take with various balancing changes...still, doubling or tripling the rewards wouldn't do any harm.

They should multiply those by 10 at least IMO.  Getting a good game in an all tier 10 game at the moment gets you about 10-15 bonds, getting an epic medal should at least double that. 

 

Cos otherwise their comments about bonds being able to be earned outside ranked is nonsense, it's technically true, but it means ranked is the only viable place to earn bonds. Getting to rank 5 in one week gets a 1000 bonds, yet you'd need 100 Kolobanovs medals in tier 10 to get the same amount outside. 

 

I mean 1/2 bonds for a high caliber? I have 1k ish high calibres in 22k battles and that is barely a 1k bonds. I reckon all my epic medals in total are not enough for one piece of improved equipment.

Remember you can have multiple epic medals in 1 game.

 

I agree about rare medals though, making it 10 times (or just way way more) makes sense. Getting a pool's in tier 10 game should be rewarded with 1k bonds.

number of bonds for high rarity medals is a joke, add one zero and it will be somewhat viable

Also, they should make the amount of bonds given relate to the battle tier and not the tier of the vehicle you are driving.

I like it the way it is now. You get extra things for free while playing the game, but not enough to scam or cheat for.

 

They probably want to keep the ranking mode in the game so they can not give out to much bonds in random games.

Really? I mean...reaaaaally? I don't think this is even feasible and I want to believe people are not THAT pathetic. Besides, good performance should be rewarded and granting bonds for it (and not the laughable amount from the patch notes) is a good idea.

When there is something to be gained. There will always be people finding an easy way to get it. Remember the T22 med debacle. Where tons of clans did this counting down in the middle of the night just to cheat and get thta tank. If you make the reward to big they will also do this with the advanced equipment if they can.
