Hi folks,

Just started playing WOT again in the last few weeks (stopped 2013! lol) And I amazed by all the tanks in the game now, I've started playing mediums and I'm really liking them.. What medium tank line would you suggest? With good turret armor and some good gun handling stats etc, and a good gun? I've been playing on tier 8's but the MM is making me want to play more lower tiers. So I've decided to start a new tank line!

thanks.

General answer for a med line is the Russian one.

That has the T-54 at tier IX and the T62A & OBJ 140 at tier X.  They are all good brawler mediums however the T-54 does require you to load a fair amount of 'skill' ammo to offset the poor penetration of the gun.  At lower tiers the T-34-85 is pretty good (so are the premium versions T-34-85M and Rudy).  Almost all tier VII mediums are rubbish so that's not a tier you really want to play mediums in.

The Japanese line is 'hard mode' so I'd avoid that.  The Chinese line looks ok but I have no personal experience of that.  The German line has the Panther, Panther II, E 50 and E 50M.  I love my E 50 and didn't hate the two Panthers as much as other players seem to but they are not brawlers like the Russians.  You tend to need to stay back a bit and support rather than getting up close.  I quite liked the Czech line up to the Skods T25 and I'm led to believe the top tiers are really good.  Most people dislike the Tier VII and VIII in that line so bear that in mind.

Lower tiers eh? well tier7 is no gain over tier 6 apart from some more hp so

1. T34-85

2. VK-M

3. Cromwell apparently though I have never played this tank myself

4. Sherman Jumbo if you're interested in a slower, heavy armoured medium and can use a derp build with original turret if you want some derp fun, it also takes a vert which is amazing for tier6. I have one, its fully loaded with derp, stronger turret, vent, rammer and vert.. never actually used it yet it lol.. I'm gone off derps at the moment

If you have some money

1.T34-85M is really nice tank

2.If the Pudel is much the same as the VK-M which it very much looks like when compared then the Pudel would be a nice medium also.

Don't know about the rest

I always forget about the Cromwell because whilst so many love it and do well in it I can't seem to make it work for me at all.  It has a very 'light' play style where you need to be very map aware and nipping about the place.  Russians meds have a bit of armour to help me out!

Thanks all,

I got a prem tank to make more money I picked the m4a1 Rev Good gun, but bad armor and I love the alpha damage of the gun, like the Russians 122mm! I was thinking about the german line like the e50 m or the russian line!

cheers.

If you want medium tank with good turret armour and decent gun, then go for USSR medium tank lines.

German medium tank line which leads to E-50 and E-50M is also a nice choise.

As I said both good lines but the play styles are different.  If you want to be mixing it up close range then Russian, if you want to support a bit more with an accurate gun then German.

Russian line. .

Why? Most premium trainers. and Also, from T5 there isn't a bad tank.   (ok 430 might seem a bit crap) but the T10s 140 and T62A are excellent...

But there is no Russian bias btw.

i would recommend the us medium line unlike the russian meds they are far easier to handle (e.g. gun depresion) and their guns are proper tiered and do not require excessive "skill" spam
