Why are so many players afraid to push their advantage? And I don't mean situations where there are TDs or SPGs ready to punish you, I mean being afraid to push your advantage when there are a few tanks holding a flank and you've got at least 4-5 HTs just scared of overwhelming the enemies.

I've had a game in the O-I exp on Arctic Region north spawn, it was tier 6 mm. I had a Tiger (t6 JP one) with me on the corner, he was full HP against a KV-1s and a VK (t5 too). He was just trading badly or at all. So I got pissed because they were winning so I got behind him and pushed out charging at them, he was hesitant at first but then noticed they started bouncing and also pushed and after that 2 more tanks that were behind us pushed also and we wrecked the enemy. I don't consider it bad play on my part since we won and he didn't lose much. We were all poking out and getting shot at more often even though we had the numerical advantage. So why are some players such f***ing pussies when in top tier?

I guess it might be because you can lose money and get low xp if you sacrifice yourself for the team. Also I feel like the majority of players has no minimap to look at :hiding:

Never afraid to push an advantage, but it must be a real advantage, not as in for instance the Arctic Circle map situation when the heavies won the riverside banana, they are low on health and now there is an open field in front of them all the way to the enemy base but several enemy TDs remain hidden somewhere. Blithely pushing such an "advantage" means losing 9 out of 10 times.

I get that but some type of players either rush in the open and die for nothing or sit behind and are scared shi*less by two bottom tier meds on 1hp.

We were held back on our corner, not the opposite, forgot to add that. I was poking out and telling the Tiger (that was cowering behind me) to push out so we can overwhelm them, despite his RoF he poked out as often as a Kv-2 and missed every shot. As soon as "we" pushed out (I pushed him like a choo-choo train) they got scared, missed shots, started retreating and were chewed up by our RoF.

Some players go by the notion that you should not get hit, under any circumstances. Others refuse to play to a tank's strenghts and play each and every tank the same way, driving to the same spots and so on.

I love the situation in which I am a one shot, next to a teammate with plenty of HP and when an enemy approaches he drives backwards and lets me get the shot instead of taking it and thus improve our chances of winning.

Maybe most of the players have no idea what advantages their tanks have while they are playing the battle?

Just my thoughts...

Because every single one of them is waiting for someone else to take the shot, so most of the time you get to take the shot even though you're drastically lower on HP than them for similar reasons to begin with.

And then you get to read on the forums about how teamplay is nonexistent and that unicums only play for wn8.

Sometimes because they're aware of negative consequences of pushing a certain position, sometimes because they're cowards, sometimes because they're bad, sometimes because they have an OI next to them and think that the guy with 150mm of frontal armour should probably go first to take the brunt of the incoming fire instead of their 100mm... (EDIT: just saw you were in the OI-Exp, so make it 125mm, point still stands).

because we are all selfish and what team mission are we going to complete, everyone is to focused on themselves and their individual missions

Hell you can push in a wheelchair for all I care, but if there's a mobile bunker next to you it's kind of useless to go in with paper-mache instead of letting him go first isn't it?

Often enough you just have to because nobody else does, but that doesn't make the point any less valid.

Mostly because they don't understand they can push (I guess).

Because muh damage!

Too many players want to ply with their willies and farm damaghe. few want to do the spotting and puishing.
