It seems the grand canyon has gone and disappeared, taking it's grand battles map with it.

Anyone know when WG puts back the one interesting and daring map design they've shat out in years or if they're doing something horrible to it? It was a lot of fun playing around with that verticality on the test server even if there were a bit too many spots you could take a load off right next to the bases.

It was deemed too interesting to play and promoted too much use of mobility, vision control, gun depression/elevation and flanking and so was dropped in favour of the up coming map - 'Paris II: The Huggening'.

Given their love of corridors, and casual approach to historical accuracy, they should implement a "Star Wars Deathstar Trench" map, only with tanks instead of X-wings.
