Sooo... what happened?
Did you shoot someone?
Did you touch someone who then drowned?
Did you end up on top of someone?

no, a team mate fell over leaving base and I try to help but cant.  I drive off and go hill.  about 30 seconds later he blows up and I get a TK.  did not cause any hp damage I think

simple

U pushed him last and he blew up because of that push.

Same mechanic as pushing someone into the water.

Lesson: dont help flipped over teammates

Don't try to help teammates that are completely flipped over, there is nothing you can do to them and the automated system will register you as the last guy to touch them before they die from getting flipped over so it thinks you caused it.

If someone is flipped to their side you can help them, just make sure you push from the correct side and never put yourself in an exposed position to help a guy who might be dead before you get there.

There's nothing quite like helping a flipped scout up and see him go "thanks :)" 3s before he yoloes over the central ridge into 10 enemy tanks.

In the replay the Centurion pushed the overturned tank last, but the OP had already given it a hefty ram so causing the damage that registered as a TK. The moral of the story, don't ram the tank you are trying to right, push it, gently.

a hefty ram? I was pushing him up a slope, only 3 hp.  cent last one to damage him for 1 hp loadsa seconds later

Ah right, that clarifies your previous statement of "did not cause any hp damage I think"

Although it should be noted that while it did register as a teamkill the OP did not turn blue and was able to continue getting shot up by the enemies, so it wasn't registered as a serious offense.

Sadly, this :( I really think flipping tanks happens too easily. Yes it is realistic that it happens, but nevertheless....

Evidence that it does not work perfectly. No system works perfectly including real life justice systems. That is not an argument against having justice systems.

Is it not simply punishment for having vvv this as your clan-tag?

Would post the alternative EFE clan-tag, but don't want a forum perma-ban.

It should be easier to help people and a lot less risky but that is hard to do while still catching those actually trying to TK instead.
