Hello,

after a ranked match which i played very good and effective i was confronted with "chevron lost". You wonder what is the surprise? then please take a look at the screenshots.
below screenshot you see i wasn't even sniping and only 900 of the damage dealt is from 300 meters

Spoiler

Now for comparison take a look at a Centurion AX on my team which dealt 1600 damage all above 300 meters

Spoiler

a T110e5

Spoiler

a T62A

Spoiler

Can somebody explain to me why i did receive less XP that others with less effort? i am kind of confused.

Thank you in advance

HOXTON

They probably spotted their own damage while you didnt.

it was mines which is a small map and i was fighting close proximity, i can provide a replay if you wish to further investigate. for example Centurion AX did 1600 damage from +300 meters

Distance doesn't mean much, they could have been behind bushes from your location easily and then it doesn't count as you spotting them.

Ok looks like you at least spotted most of it so I don't know. Maybe the game is somehow punishing the extremely passive play.
Not saying that to offend but you're playing your medium a lot more like a TD and constantly falling back. Hurts your team's chances to win.

But for the exp I can't really say.

Thank you for the replay, i sure did fall back due to the way game escalated. that was my choice considering the situation around me and it was still under 300 meters.

I am not sure if the chevron distribution is that complex to account for passiveness. My curiosity on why i received lower XP than the less active players is still unsatisfied. I hope one of the Developers sees and answer this.

I don't think the exp calculation is any different than from randoms. I think there's some close quarters bonus and such but I've never looked into it.

It is quite tough to tell why players got how much XP as there lots of little factors that influence it.

The AX for example spotted 11 enemy tanks which should provide a small bonus, even if he did less damage.

We're not using any different XP calculation methods in ranked battles, so there shouldn't be big disparities between the two. My advice if you want to maximize your XP in ranked: be close, shoot for tracks often and try to get some spotting damage, even a little gives a nice boost.

Thumbs up; first time I've actually seen this question answered 'officially'. :)

The 11 initial spots is probably a big factor, also module damage gives some xp, I think.

There, fixed it.

Should happen more often.
