O/ fellow tankers,

WoT is unplayable due to lag for me the past 2 weeks, i never had this before.

Are you experiencing lag aswell?

I did a hard reset of router and everything (glassfiber connection), but nothing helps (even switched from eu1 to eu2 and back).

I'll copy paste my response to another similar thread:

When playing WoT you are utilizing the IT infrastructure across Europe to connect your client to the server and just as you can get stuck in traffic on the freeway your data can experience similar issues. To find out if you can do anything to fix that you need a tool to measure that, generally Pingplotter is recommended but loads of other stuff is available as well:

Basically this. But I think the latest patch messed up some ports or something, there was a lot of people having issues with connection to WoT servers.

I have maybe 30-50 ms usually, the last couple of weeks I get in games spikes of upto 300ms and often find mini spikes that ruin my games as I cannot control my tank. Never had this in all my years of playing before.

One would suggest that you follow SuedKAT's advice then.

There's your problem.  Internet made of old canoes and Reliant Robins is never going to work.

Had a really bad evening of WoT connection issues so I said the best thing to do was keep playing on instead of stopping, because stopping would have been the smart thing to do and whenever was being smart associated with the game lol!! At one point mm VK-M was taken control of by and evil panzer troll spirit in which the tank would only drive backwards shortly into the battle, to stop I had to hold w, and releasing this made the tank reverse off again lol!
I quit and restarted but of course I rejoined to smoking wreckage of what used to be my panzer but that was the least of my worries as fully aimed shots with the entire circle well inside all of tanks I was shooting at continued to miss without explanation other than more network issues and what I was actually shooting at was probably not there in real time.. o and for many battles the light tanks on most my team refused to scout, there was 3 arty per team nearly every battle and taking the initiative to actually try and play this game and forced to become the make shift scout I got repeatedly shat on by clikers and sent back to the garage.. a nice evening overall I'd say wouldn't you? Luckily this is rare but WOW! that was some experience lol!

I just stopped playing for now - will check back in a few days - playing a low spec game for fun should not require work / downloading 3rd party diagnostics etc

All tools and equipment require maintenance.  Even the worst motorist occasionally will check their tire pressures.  Same goes for PC's and networks.  De-clutter hard drives, update drivers remove dust and fluff from openings.  Some simple internet diagnostics is not a Herculean task.

My ping on both servers is usually between 30-40 but recently it's been jumping around a bit.

checking PingPlotter there was packet loss on the 2nd hop. It's gone back to normal now.

it only takes a couple of minutes to check it. I always check ping plotter when needed.

Entirely your choice but why you don't want to see where the problem is, is beyond me.

You're not alone and it doesn't seem to be country specific either. From the UK I don't expect much but normally sitting around 30-50m/s and still do, but the number of spikes and ghost shells lately has been very noticeable! Same for buddies in Sweden who should have no issues considering the infrastructure. I reckon something is up with the servers.

And pingplotter will help you tell whether that's true.

I have no lag in the UK, servers are fine

I ran pingplotter yesterday, because I was getting packet loss and it wasn't my operator's problem, not mine .... it was between me and the WoT servers, that it happened.

I am running at 94 MB/s download speed and around 40 upload.

My network connection has NO issues with BF4 servers, had no issues with Crossout when I was trying it out.

Since the last patch, i've been getting packet loss while playing WoT - tracked it down to unforwarded ports and thought I fixed it, but NOPE!

Ping is around 14-30 all the time, but the packet loss is happening at the worst moments and ruins the game for me the last two weeks. I'll be getting a new optic wire tommorow, if that doesen't fix it, it's WG's problem.
