I am one of the Older players. I have seen maps and loved maps that most of the players at this time won't have. I would love that WG will REBALANCE old maps and put them back in the game

Wow, has it already been 2 days since the last thread on the subject.

Most of the removed maps were removed with good reason.  Komarin was a campfest, Dragon's ridge only had 2 map squares you could use, Hidden village was a 400m by 200m map disguised as a 1000m by 1000m..........

Mines is being removed when the maps go HD, will be replaced by Castles.  Previous incarnations were Hills and Pagorki.

dragonridge had been reworked 2 times already  hardto believe they do it another time

port was made a event map (race) and got so massive imbalances hardly anything that would be recognizable as port might be imba too

komarin reworked and failed

pearlriver reworked and failed

Northwest reworked and failed

.

.

.

rather than that all i could say is wait and see

with the upcoming HD maps they might start a final attepmpt to make that maps work  if not by than i would expect them to be gone forever  or come back as event maps at best

Forget about new maps. Three quarters of the playerbase has never played the game sober, and can barely remember which button makes your tank move forward, let alone the intricacies of topographical detail. What's boring to us is always fresh and interesting to them. I'm pretty sure WG doesn't even recognise it as a problem.

i cant even sign your complain

there are about 45 maps is you take out the clones it should be still about 40

cs, lol, starcraft are they giving you more maps ?

you hardly find games without usermade maps that offer you larger numbers

then again it isnt the number of maps thats the problem for WoT but the temporary mappool  offering like 6 maps per hour to choose from (for the mm)

also with stalingrad, charkiv, paris overloard etc. the recent added maps suck...

do i need more sucking maps ?   - no

isnt the main aspect the own and enemy team ?  so even if you play the same map for the 2000th time wouldnt it be differnt(to some degree) than most the times before ?

after how many games would a new map  not be new but boring for you ? starting to scream for more new maps?

even they they tried they wouldnt be able to keep up with the demand for new maps anyway

the only stuff that might help there might be a RMG  random map generator   thought from playing d3 i can pretty much tell you even there you start to recognize certain elements that would be put together

than again it might rather look repulsive if you got a snowcovered cherry blossom asia part followed by a desert section just to end in an marina

also you might lose the aspect of mastering a map

Hope they keep them unchanged only an HD look and put them in.

If the monkeys of balance department attempt any balancing there will be no point to bring them back am afraid.

Well, they already have the maps done, they surely can make them bigger and rebalance them, right?

The problem with Northwest is fixable, so is Dragon Ridge ... only Komarin is absolutely unplayable.

Speaking about Komarin what memories I have from that map I enjoyed it a lot. Atleast it was not "sit in a city"-campfest and there was possibility to manouver around a lot. TBH back then I was playing lower tiers, dunno how it would work with 8+

I liked vision & spotting maps like Komarin. Many fond memories.

This much is true. I'd rather play Komarin and Dragon ridge instead of Paris or Pilsen.

I like slow-paced maps and large maps in general. I hate maps like Mittengard, where the game is over without much thinking and in a few minutes.
